(Sorry!!)
Cats you're such a good patient! She didn't even listen to you last time! She could get in trouble with the licensing board for what she is doing.
Thanks for this!

I think your situation is sad, cats. VERY sad. It hurts to read about it. I wonder why you can't see it yet. Or can you? I hope your former T can help you find a solution.
Thanks for this!

Cats, she says that you aren't ready to work on your flashbacks yet. I would guess you aren't ready because you aren't doing serious therapy with this woman. How can you focus on getting better and doing serious work when your T isn't healthy? I don't think that this relationship can be repaired because this woman has a lot of work to do. You deserve a decent therapist. You have already had dysfunctional family who didn't serve you well. Why are you settling with a dysfunctional therapist who can't serve you well either?

I wouldn't say that I am not doing serious therapy. I would lean more towards me not being stable enough yet.

So you want to say that you are the problem? This is what happens to children in dysfunctional/abusive families. They cannot believe that their parents are the problem because this thought is too scarey so they believe that they must be the problem.

She asked you for a lift to the airport....so it's ok for her to cross the boundaries but not you?

I think one of the reasons there are so many views to this thread is because most of us find her behaviour so shocking and we feel for you cats because you are the vulnerable client who she is abusing (and that is what it is). I just wonder where it will end.

If she doesn't see the damage she is doing she is just delusional and I am sorry to say that because I don't want to hurt you by being mad at her but I am doing courses in becoming a therapist and I feel angry that she feels she can behave like this as she just goes against the ethics of therapy over and over again.

If she is treating others like this she will be repremanded sooner or later.

Thanks for this!

I am suddenly very sad...I went on Facebook tonight which I hardly ever do anymore and I just started thinking about a bunch of things that happened over the past few years, mistakes that I have made, friends that I have lost, stupid things that I have done, etc. Just felt like sharing that...

awww hun!

the one good thing about mistakes is that they help us to learn and grow! Sometimes even with bad things that happen something positive comes from it, even if we dont realise
