I swear like a sailor. T not so much. I think she's said "damn" and "********". I talked with T a couple of sessions back and said I censor myself around her. Apparently, she wants me to because she just asked me why I talk that way. I told her because I like to. She said, "okay," and that was it.

Yes, I've adjusted to job changes, but this one seems like I'm going backwards, forwards, and laterally all that the same time. I don't have to do it, but it's job security. I'd be working for the group home again. I'd be a group home manager, QP, AND doing program development (which includes SE and fundraising). It will put me back as a supervisor, which I had hoped to get out of completely.

Until early next week. Or I can come up with another idea. Boss said he'd be willing to tell me I have a bad idea any day. He's kidding of course. He's stressed because our residential director put in her notice. It's not until January, but she is almost irreplaceable. So boss wants to move people around and change their positions. It's not just me that's affected. There's 4-5 people involved.

Thanks Lola. I don't mind being a QP again, but I do NOT want to be a group home manager. That is something I have avoided like the plague because I'd have 24/7 responsibility for staff coverage. I have a couple of other ideas though. Boss doesn't want to lose me, so I may have some wiggle room.

The residential director was manager of one of the homes. The other person we have in mind for promotion boss can't promote right now because of a complicated personnel issue (i.e. the BOD is aware of something in his personal life because another employee mailed each member about it). I'll figure out how to divvy up stuff. It also has to save the company about $4000 a month.

Unsure. No one is doing their training right now. I don't know who else would do it.

We can't prove she did it, so nope. He said/she said.

My T admits she often expected me to give up.
When I started it was for anxiety issues and I think she thought a few months of sessions would give me the coping skills I needed. I wasn't super open at the beginning and it took several months before I let her truly see the depression.

I missed the swearing conversation.... My t is a pastor's wife...but on rare occasions I will let something slip like p****d off or a lesser variation of the f-bomb.

What a day at work. The education person took the day off...and apparently had the wrong day down for a tour of 15 three year olds and their parents! So I did a tour off the cuff. Thank goodness they were studying circles and we could look for lots of circles on the tour. Then our director asked me to go to lunch.... turned out it was a late birthday gift and an opportunity to go over plans for our programming. The most interesting thing was I didn't get angry with the co-worker...I was kind of like "Whatever. These kids deserve a great tour and I'll do my best. She doesn't report to me and I don't have to deal with the consequences."

Not that the couch has been a "hopping" place over the past couple of weeks, but thanks for those who talked to me about my work troubles. I won't be here tonight because I need to prepare my case complete with numbers that show that the company will benefit from my idea. I'll probably use an Excel spreadsheet...boss those!!

Saw Mom for birthday, uneventful except that she was pretty sick.

I also need to finish the Brene Brown book before I go to therapy tomorrow at 2pm.

Good night/day!
