What is everyone up to this afternoon? Are most people working today?

I slept 10 hours straight on 50 mg Trazadone last night. Fell asleep in my clothes, jewelry, and contacts. I still feel fuzzy-headed. Need caffeine. Texted my boss; he said I can work from home. I'll be back when I can think better.

Thanks for the evaporated milk info Wiki. I broke down and bought a can this time. Too much going on between work and church. I need the quick fix to get the pie done tonight.

I have to work all day today. I am guessing my co-worker will find a reason to leave early. Oh well. I want to get my office tidy and ready to go for next week.

I think I am going to send a note to the doctor who called me back and thank him for taking time to do so and reassure him that I simply wanted to know my concerns had been heard. I also need them to refer me for the ultrasound since I can't schedule that on my own. I never wanted to burn any bridges there...I hope they don't all hate me.

Hello everyone. Off today and tomorrow. Already swam 18 laps and have the smoker fired up. I'm making chicken and sausage gumbo. No Wiki points, I'm afraid.

This. That's part of my problem. But once I read something and if my first thought in my head is "Oh that's so selfish" I can't try to look at it from a different perspective or try to have compassion for the individual who is trying to to make someone's issue about them. But then I was thinking that in turn makes me selfish because I blame myself that I can't have empathy for that person. Do you get it?

first i have to say i hope i'm not demanding to much attention and being completely selfish if ever so please feel free to slap me upside the head ok because i really don't want to be that way but know i can.it is the kind thing to do.

but on the other side there is a point for me that i can just no longer look at someone i see as being so selfish and demanding with an empathetic ear at all and i have to just back away or i become hurtfull .it is hard to do

Granite you are never too demanding. You get what I'm saying. Then being mean turns into shame for me.

(((Jerz))) so not mean. I think most of us are giving to a fault, and it's unsettling when someone is selfish. Our abusers, parents, siblings, etc, were selfish while we were growing up...that's why we are here.

(((Chickie))) I can do therapy with you this evening....let's see, what shall we work on, another tattoo? Piercing? I have some bright purple hair dye, it would look so cool on you!

Where's my LOLA at. (((LOLA))) Sweet Lola Cabana!

The closing didn't go thru....grrrr...funds didn't make it by noon, county offices closed at noon. Must wait until Friday. I am responsible for that damn house for two more days.

Meanwhile....landscapers are here. I hired them to do the fall clean up. H is caring for me so much that I wanted to take something off of his plate. I really hope he is pleased.

Need. More. Caffeine.

Trying to tidy up the house today quietly while H sleeps. I can vacuum tonight. I texted one of my BFF's (H's BFF's wife) to see if she and her H could help me brush and bathe one of our dogs that has to be sedated and muzzled. She can't because she's helping her sister cook for Thanksgiving, but offered her H's services. I need to call him.

I'm completely off kilter because I keep thinking Friday is Thanksgiving (because for my family, it is on Friday because of H's work schedule).

You get wiki points for doing 18 laps, and for being sweet.

I am getting rest. My stomach isn't handling much, but I am keeping hydrated. Lots of pain though. There wasn't this much pain last time. And bright pink hair in the tub after I showered. sigh.

I put a purple streak in my hair yesterday. I really want to go black with blue highlights.

I'm sorry. I know it's stressful. My mom is stressed about selling her mother's house. It just won't sell in this market. The land is worth more than the house; it's in disrepair.

That's really sweet Wiki...and it sounds like your H is very sweet too. I hope you're doing well.

God, yes!!! I've had to do a bit of extra cleaning because we're taking stuff down in the living and dining rooms and putting up new stuff (or moving old stuff around), so where I've patched and sanded, there's some mess...but it's nothing compared to what it was before. I no longer feel overwhelmed.

Were you able to get cleaners into your house? I know you were looking into it.

Yes. The cleaners are coming Saturday. $250.00 for a 1 time deep clean. All the baseboards, woodwork, etc. it's been such a relief not having to worry about cleaning since I booked them. I can't wait till Saturday.

This makes me bounce up and down!!! Love it, your hair would look awesome with some blue too. I got some Pravana Chromasilk Vivids (professional dye) on ebay. My stylist is in the hospital, and I wanted to do something. It is awesome stuff, makes your hair SO shiny. And it is TOTALLY NOT VEGAN! LOL. Not even organic! I bought the purple for my daughter, she has long dark hair.

I stopped by my brother's last night to drop something off for my mom. He has a very old cape style house (1881), beautiful home, but so messy. Ick, dusty and wall to wall furniture. It was all I could do to not scrub the kitchen counters. But, it's their problem, NOT mine.

((((((((Wiki))))))))

My T said yesterday that losing her hair was the worst part of the chemo process. She said she had so much hair that people would say she was lucky, it wasn't falling out. She'd have to run her hand through her hair and bring out a chunk before people believed her. Then she went ahead (no pun intended) and shaved it. She said the hairdresser (a friend of hers) faced her away from the mirror, then turned her around to see her bald head and she burst into tears.

What was amazing to me is that when she had her mastectomy was that they sent her home the next day, even though she was in tremendous physical pain. They sent her home with pain meds and a muscle relaxer. I hate our hospital here.
