For the second, I was talking about those adults who feel the need to keep discussing something they have done and expecting to get praise or positive feedback when it is something they just NEED to do. You know the kind? I did X. Isn't that great? That's a positive thing, right? Right? I KNOW you know people like that.

No seriously I am 60 years old and not working. The only person I see or talk to on a regular basis is my t and you guys. I can't stand anybody else. Oh and the people at Starbucks but even they get on my nerves sometimes! A street person yelled at me yesterday for never talking to anybody. Wth??! And here I was congratulating myself for having boundaries!

I went to work today. I took my Zoloft today. I ate lunch today. I am breathing oxygen right now. I am going to pay my bills tonight. I did laundry last Sunday. I changed the kitty litter this morning.

PRAISE ME, MOTHER EFFERS.

Like that?

What's sad about laundry piles is the fact that I just did laundry a couple days ago and my daughter has NO pants, NO sweatshirts and NO socks to be found.....impossible! I mean, honestly, where would they go? Ridiculous.

Check under the bed or the closet..thats where I used to throw mine at that age only cause I was forced to do my own laundry and never wanted to.

I will do that. I told my daughter numerous times that if she wants clean clothes to wear, she needs to gather up her laundry and put it where it belongs. Rarely happens. And then, she'll just grab every bit of clothing - clean or dirty - and throw it in the dirty laundry. THAT "pisses" me off....hehe, get it? pisses? pee joke?

I'm not going to the open mic tonight. It will be the first one I've missed since the club opened a few weeks ago.

I'm not feeling well, of course. My daughter has a stuffy nose and a headache. My mom, who would be the one babysitting her, has a fever and is ill. And I've had a long and draining day.

So, I've made my decision, and I'm ok with it. Rest for tonight.

That reminds me of a joke.

Two guys at the top of a lighthouse decide they need to pee. First one goes and there is a voice from the bottom of the lighthouse:

"Is that urine?"

"Nope, that's his'n. Mine's comin next."

I didn't say it was a funny joke.

W and I just had a huge argument. I told her that if i am offered the job tomorrow(and I am pretty sure it will be offered), that I would ask for an offer in writing(email), tell them I need to talk it over with my wife, and let them know Monday. I want to buy some time, as we had a potential buyer come in today, and my preference is to stay where I am and not move 3 hours away. W says I told her I would accept the job, and I am planning to, but I don't see what difference 4 days makes. She says I lied to her.

Oh and she said I am trying to ruin her Xmas present of a weekend at the beach.

Ike- Do you think she is worried that if you make them wait, they will just move on to their 2nd choice?

Or maybe shes hormonal and blowing it out of context?

OK serious for a minute. yes i did go to T. i feel kind of stupid saying this but what ever. writing the words makes it sound even more ridiculous. we have been working on life stuff at least i thought . like taking meds getting out of the house etc .. but she started talking again about my past and using the word repeated trauma. i thin i will start a thread about it just to get it out of my head . but i think it was OK still .i think she might understand.

Jersey, she can't stand the uncertainty. She has OCD and BPD, so sometimes she makes a big deal out of trivial things, IMO. I told her I plan to tell the guy I am 95% certain I will take the job if he offers tomorrow, but prefer to let him know for certain on Monday. I don't want to appear too eager.
