We are building bonds here with others like us and its a support structure and place to be heard, like a home base for some of us. It just chaps my Arse when people who don't even come here can bash it like that.
I see it as a social group you don't have to bother to join, you just show up whenever you want. It kind of is the psychotherapy social group.
Thanks for this!

I tend to say some things here about therapy that I would not venture forth in my own thread for fear of unwarranted attack.

Yes. THIS. I generally feel that I get more support here and people who listen with less judgment than I tend to get if I start a thread of my own.

I realize this group IS social, but it's also very much about our therapy experiences and our feelings and confusion about the process. It's just that there's no one busting on us for taking off on tangents.

I think of this thread as being very like a conversation with a friend who has ADD. We'll be talking about her mother in law being ill, and suddenly, she'll be like, "SQUIRREL! oh, and then my mother in law started to . . ." We talk about therapy and encourage each other TO GO TO THERAPY AND NOT SKIP [Lola] and then get off on talking about food, and Wiki points and then back to telling someone to GO TO THERAPY AND NOT SKIP.

MKAC, well said about the couch.....altho I gotta admit, it's the mix of people here that draws me to feel comfortable on the couch. I hate to admit that if there was a certain mix of people that weren't a fit for me here, I wouldn't be here. But it's my truth. I am open and welcoming to others joining, I just get scared sometimes that it may turn into a place that won't be healthy for me. KWIM?

Just got back from Wegmans....picked up a bunch of healthy goodies for when my mom comes home from the hospital (today). Still not sure if her diet is supposed to be low residue or diabetic - but I picked up stuff that is healthy either way.

Wiki would be proud....I picked up flax seed for the very first time. I put it on my salads each day when I was at the hospital and figured it's gotta be healthy, right? Although I have no idea what's healthy about it ((( cringing in shame ))).

Heading out in a few to bring the groceries to my mom's house and then pick her up from the hospital. YIPPEE!!

I find myself getting even more irritated at the idea of having this new teeny bopper non-therapist co-facilitating our group T....she is big into the GMO issue that my T is so passionate about. Not sure why that irks me so much. It just does.

I am so irritated by it all, I could spew fire right now....ACK.

AND the blog notes haven't been posted yet....not surprising....and the placeholder that I used to repeatedly ask T and the old co-facilitator is not up. Not surprised again. Irritated. But not surprised.

The healthy thing to do is ask for the placeholder to be posted...and to express all of this to my T....but I am just going to bxxxh about it here instead.

I get that the idea of wholeness includes physical and emotional health, but I don't like the idea of my therapy turning into a crusade to fight the GMO companies.

I am very much freaking out right now. I don't know what I was thinking, but last week I told my T that I would meet with someone about joining a group he thought might be good for me. The meeting with the facilitator is this afternoon and then I immediately meet with my T. Ugh - so much of this is making me anxious. The two things that are getting to me the most is that the T leading the group is a women, and that because the kind of group it is there will be some questions that I don't know if I can just answer. They are things that I have only mentioned to my T before. How am I going to just talk about it to someone that I don't know at all?
