Squirrel - Sounds like a great but challenging opportunity! I hope it comes up for you.

MKAC - Ugh. That sounds so heartbreaking, and triggery. Please try to fit in some self-care. It's so difficult to be exposed to those kinds of situations, especially when they tap into our stuff.

Wiki - So glad you had a good day swimming! Sounds so relaxing!

RTS - Oh no! My heart sunk when I read your post. I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I need to face the same reality but I have been refusing to. With unemployment ending in a week, not having a full time job, having a mortgage as a single mom AND reaching my cap for therapy for the year, I really can't afford to be seeing T for the rest of the year. Being in denial helps me not face it, but I know it's something I won't be able to avoid forever. I'm sorry you're at the place where a decision had to be made.

Hi couch friends. You must all think I fell between the couch cushions and got lost. I haven't been online for much of anything other than work email the last few weeks. No internet when I am at the BFs house... He's not a computer guy... Just wanted to say hi. I am adjusting to 3 weeks between appointments. I freak out after every appointment but then by the time my appt rolls around I am like... I could go another three weeks...

I'm glad your having a good time with the BF...it's good that you don't need us so much anymore.

Hey Hank...The natural sunscreens don't usually come that high, but my derm told me anything over 50 was just a lie. Not sure how true that is, never researched it.

Cloudy this morning. Not sure what I am up to today. Happy Tuesday to all the T Tuesday peeps.

Hi, I have been to school and back already this morning. Time to really get rolling on my classroom. I meet with the board of Ed on Monday.. They officially approve me then, although.. the job is mine already. Just a formality really.

I have to leave in a couple soon and pick my daughter and her friends up from VBS.. This week is our county fair and one of the organization I volunteer for has a booth, so I will be manning that on and off this week, as well as starting my summer job. Busy, busy, busy around here!!

good luck healed.

I'll be doing our county fair in a few weeks. Long hot hours hopefully under a tent. Hoping the bagpipe association is not under the same tent this year. One bagpipe is cool but 10 of them sounds like a discordant oboe symphony.

Last year I did the domestic violence table for 4 hrs. It was for kids, and they had to decorate cut out hands. "Hands are for caring, not for hurting". This year I get to do the wildlife table, we'll be making little shoe boxes with rice filled sweat socks to put wounded animals in should they come across one. The boxes have the clinic phone number and address on them...actually a pretty cool idea.

I need to run to the feed & grain and find a new life preserver for young dog. Last year's is a bit too tight for her. I need to get a tie out for her as well. Lex will stay in the yard, but Sadie takes off as soon as I get out of sight. She's so fresh. She is also a menace to the ducks and geese. And I know damn well there's a dead squirrel in my future if I don't start chaining her. I hate to do it, but she really leaves me no choice.

Have you thought about a shock collar, Wikid? What do you think about them? My young dog chased one of my horses to the point where the horse jumped a fence [well, ALMOST jumped the fence] and really trashed the fence while going mostly over but partially through it. Did not do the horse's legs much good either although it was mostly just scrapes. I am thinking of getting a shock collar for the dog to stop the horse chasing.

I actually approve of the shock collars when used correctly. (We have one for Sadie) It has a remote control that will BEEP before shocking, giving her a chance to think twice. Much better than having the dog in danger or injuring other animals. I think it's absolutely humane. I was thinking of an electric fence, but it won't work well with the way the land is laid out here. I am having a problem with her "sneaking" off. I don't see her doing it, therefore not correcting soon enough. I would never leave her chained out there alone though.

What about the invisible electric fence? Coupled with a collar?

I may be getting my dog correction set up confused... sorry if this is what y'all meant

Afternoon couch.

I am just chilling before heading to the loan place to take out a small loan to pay for my certification tests for the subjects I don't have yet, should the job finally post. I just want to be prepared.

Back when I was first trying to be a teacher (when I took my other tests) they were only 25 bucks a piece. A couple of years ago though, they upped them to 200. They had too many people just taking them for the h e l l of it to see if they could pass that they wanted to make sure people were serious about adding the certification. Sucks.

I am lucky enough that our booth will be in the ice arena right next to the fairgrounds, so the hours I spend at the table will be in A/C

Lola, you can't ever forget about ME!!

Shocking, vibrating, oooohhhhhhh.

Looks like I added one more trip on my agenda today, meeting h at At&t... My poor phone sound is going in and out, sometimes I can hear when people call me, sometimes I can't. Not good when we have no other phone in the house and my number is the primary number that we give out. So, I am switching to H's newer iphone, he is getting a dumb phone, and we are dropping one data package instead of two- hello money saving!!!

H and I had MC yesterday.. I think something finally clicked for me concerning MT. I have doubted his ability to deal with me.. and he just seemed unsure of himself. However, the topic that we talked about our whole session help to instill more confidence in him, like he might be a good T. Which is good, b/c he is the third person going with T and I to the sight of the rape!
