sounds like fun Granite. I have a friend who does lots of stamping stuff. She makes cards, little boxes for treats( usually chocolate ), ornaments and all sorts of stuff. She's trying to get me to try it but so far I haven't been able to bring myself to try. My hands shake a lot sometimes and so I think I'd be making some sort of modern art version of what I was supposed to make
I do quilt though and I have seen that people are making really neat quilted postcards as well as quilted journal pages...pretty neat. May try that sometime.

My daughter actually does not enjoy reading - which is why she put off the summer reading stuff until the very end of the summer. Now, she's freaking out about whether or not she'll get in trouble if she is asked on the first day of school whether or not their books were read. It amazes me how much she cares about getting good grades or not getting in trouble with her teachers. I was the polar opposite when I was her age.

I am drowning in bags of clothes and stuff....ACK. I need to set a designated space for all of this yard sale stuff....someplace totally out of my way. Probably downstairs, a place I never go except to do laundry, LOL.

MUE... I don't know if these are kids clothes or yours but... there is a store that buys kids clothes. I sold some of my boys stuff there and you get better than yard sale.... I washed the clothes and then folded them flat and put them in a Rubbermaid container and then you take them to store and they tell you what they want to buy and what price they will give you and they give you back what they don't want. Of course they like the nicer brand clothes but that included brands from Target and other not so expensive stores too... they also take shoes winter coats snow pants, etc...

If you want the name of the store or the website...just PM me...
Thanks for this!

((( Lola )))

For quite a few weeks during the summer, my daughter is away at my sister's house from Sunday until Thursday. I always hated seeing her go and looked forward to her coming home. I've found, though, that I've handled the separation much better now that I made an effort to participate in things that I enjoy. I hope you can try to work towards figuring out what types of things you can enjoy doing during the week.

LC - being alone does not have to be bad. You can use this time to learn about yourself and do things for yourself.

And of course, to read Emma.

Granite ill be around later, I'm gonna run to the store and buy myself some pants as my travel days are approaching and somehow my butt has gotten bigger as food is my new BFF. Funny how pizza loves me way more then an apple!

It's funny how I can get dressed and feel like I look ok til I see a picture.

Happy Labor Day. We had a picnic at a River park. Ollie loved it, then home to wings on the grill. Barbecue? Not by my definition. Vietnamese wings are awesome. Maybe the best I have ever eaten. W hated them, so I mad her Sweet Baby Ray's. Xchange student and D preferred teriyaki wings.

New kittens are so fun. I keep looking at kittens but I have a 16 yr old old cat who I don't want to annoy. I hope the new one fits in well.

me also. i am kind of worried because we are going away for 6 days at the end of the month. but the kitten would be here for 3 weeks by then and 10 weeks old. with 2 other cats. my stepmother who lives next door of my duplex would be taking care of them and would hear if there is s ruckus. but i am worried it will be still to young to be left alone

Our neighbours got a ragdoll cross. When I first saw it I thought they was something wrong with it like it was ill as it was splayed out on the lounge like a bearskin rug and when I picked it up it just flopped about. But apparently that why they are called ragdolls.
Hope you enjoy yoour new kitty granite.
