Wiki, I hope the onc calls you back soon. I'm so tired of the staff in doctors' offices getting between people and their doctors. It's happened to me a bunch lately and to several of my friends. It seems to just get worse and worse. So annoying. Is your back pain any better?

Mast, I love "thangover." It's a great word. I hope yours is better. I lost most of yesterday to one. It's not so bad today, but I've been busy at the clinic for most of the day. When I'm concentrating on a sick red-tailed hawk that wants to scratch my eyes out, I really don't have much room in my thoughts for therapy! It's a good distraction.

Red tails are incredible! I finally got to release one that had been really sick...such a joy to see him fly off.

Went for a swim...doc called back, wants an X-ray because of the big steroid dosage (so he says, but I know he's worried about a tumor, I ain't stupid)

Some day I will be able to have pain without my brain going "there".

Don't go there. No good will come of it!

We've gotten 4 red-tailed hawks in the last 24 hours. Three were hit by cars. They're crazy this time of year. The juvies haven't learned about cars yet, but don't have their parents around to yell at them for flying across roads. We're fortunate that we have an awesome avian vet who does some amazing ortho surgeries.

The 4th one got itself trapped in a hav-a-hart type trap that was set to trap raccoons. I don't know what they used for bait, but apparently it was appealing enough for a hawk to walk right in and help himself. Silly hawk.

I could have sworn I just posted on here asking if you want to talk about it, Granite, but nothing showed up. I swear I've only had one beer.

Couch Poll - Ettiquette Question....

2 parties plan to meet at a restaurant for dinner. One party arrives early and secures a table...

When,if ever, is it acceptable to order your dinner prior to the other party arriving?

My MIL does that to me sometimes. It's a bit irritating, especially when we have agreed on a certain time and she arrives 20 minutes early and then orders without me. She has issues. LOL.

yes I did talk some .she was again not having anything to do with my being silent .there was a lot said but basically at one point she said my refusal to talk is my wanting her to talk for me but that I need to be the one to work out things and she has faith that I will be able to figure it out.this was her response to me saying I have no idea what she wants me to say

RTS, this just happened to me last night. Stopped at the diner with a group member after group - and he had already ordered his meal and had his salad delivered by the time I got there which was only about 5 minutes after he did. Didn't bother me at all, though.

So it seems pretty split as to whether there is an etiquette rule about waiting till all parties have arrived to order.... Anyone else want to chime in?

granite....could you write in your journal first before you take meds? You have so many legitimate reasons to be angry with the mother....maybe getting it out on paper would help..
