Got my new grill/smoker today. Comedy of errors. I left the house at 8AM. Got to the store and found I forgot my $25 off coupon. I went back home and got my coupon, went to a store nearer the grocery store and they did not have the grill i wanted. Did some grocery shopping and went back home. Then I went to the first store and bought the grill. Headed home and put the grill together, seasoned it with an initial coal burning and tomorrow I will break it in. I had hoped to use it today.

For assembly of the drill, I had to get a 7/16 nut driver(i love new tools). I also got to use my gyro screwdriver for the first time. This is a great gift for the do-it-your-selfer. I wish I had something else to put together. You just turn your wrist in the direction you want the screw to move, forwards or backwards. It is an amazing tool.

Ike....looks like I will be having plenty of opportunities to get Bojangles. My son decided on a school in the great state of NC.

RTS, You have peaked my curiosity. Can you give us more details? What city? I am a UNC Chapel Hill grad.

You lost me Ready. Is he going to UNC? Then you should try Time Out(Biscuits and Chicken) instead of Bojangles. Is he going to Dook? Dook Forest is a popular spot there.

What year? A good friend of mine graduated from RJ Reynolds in 1981. She went to UNC though. Wake is a very good school, IMO.

I'm excited for my son.... he got accepted to many great schools... but in the end he picked one where I think he will have a well rounded experience despite a little more debt than the others.

Hey Ike...nice grill.

Well, I needed to get drunk yesterday afternoon/eve and sleep it off.
Yea, fractured. I have a new boot. Just one more thing to make my life a living hell, as if it wasn't there already. Grrrr.

Prepping for the holiday today.
Hope people had a happy Passover.
Hoping others have a happy Easter.

Ready, I'm excited for your son also! Can you pm me the name of the school also?

Wikid, I am SO sorry. I wish things would just go easily and well for people like you who truly deserve it.

Heading out for a day of horseback riding again. Hopefully, my horse will think it's fun also. I'm trying to be careful and respectful of her opinions. She is still coming to me at a trot when I call her, and nickering when she sees me, so I know she is enjoying our time together, even if she is as not as enthused about riding as my gelding.

Tonight, my D and I are going shopping for prom shoes! I wish I enjoyed shopping. LOL.

Going to put aside all of my emotional bs that has been happening in my brain and just enjoy this day.

Thanks again, CE, for the encouragement yesterday.

Sorry to hear about the broken bone, Wikid.

This week, one of the closest people to me has gotten some devastating health news and I have been spending great amounts of time in or waiting rooms as she is undergoing several surgeries. I am devastated. Which I do realize is an over the top word and may be too strong.

I got a letter in the mail today about possibly interviewing for a summer job that pays $13.95 an hour so I am optimistic about that.

Wiki...sorry to hear about the broken ankle... I'm sure you find it very frustrating..

Stopdog... I'm so sorry to hear that news.... I don't find devastated to be too over the top or strong word.... at least when I received similar news about a dear friend it was't for me.
Thanks for this!

More shouting. Told me I am lazy, a liar, I do nothing around the house, I spend too much and don't take care of the car, I take everything for granted. All of this is untrue and extremely hurtful. But I don't react? I think I need to bring this up with T but I feel so ashamed.

She thinks she's strong because she doesn't let anyone in but what she doesn't realize is that it is what's making her weak. I was the same. But I got to remind myself, I can't want something for her more than she does herself. She's not at the same level of growth and development as me and I can't force my views onto her. One day, she'll catch up and realize that she is worth more and should not be subjecting herself to assholes like him. One day when she is ready, she will come and talk to me. For now, I'll just be whatever she needs me to be.

Sometimes men shout because they can't cry. I don't suppose it helps to know that...
