I thought about getting one, but I actually like having them be separate. So, no real help here.

My H has one, he loves it. It's a big green egg or something like that. Son and he both think it's the most superior grill on the planet. I must admit that it does cook a mean veggie burger and smoked eggplant.

Good afternoon, couch. I'm feeling a little better today. It's a beautiful day outside my office window, I have done a couple of important work related things which have been weighing on my conscience, and I got really good, both constructive and positive, feedback on a presentation I gave to my colleagues yesterday.

Made some vegan oatmeal/rice waffles (sd inspired me).
Take THAT, Jack Frost.
Topped with a pb, banana, maple spread.
These are to die for.

It's chilly at the beach, but I am grateful I am not home, where they woke up to snow covered yards!!!

Back at work today....

Woke up to a few red rash spots under my eye... By the time i showered and drove to work the top eye lid was swollen... Thought I had escaped it but knew there was a chance it would affect eye cause when i was pulling the poisn ivy out by roots when it pulled free dirt sprayed up in my eye... I didnt use glove but did use what i thought was a safe sleeve of my shirt...

Wondering if prednisone will help at this point... Guess I'll go to urgent care at lunch...

RTS - I wonder about the PI. You knew what you were doing, didn't wear gloves and were actually quite reckless about it. Like you intentionally were self-injuring.
Just an observation. Not trying to judge or anything, but can you see that?

I'm sorry you have a rash, PI sux big time. You should take extra Vitamin C and zinc to help internally heal. On the rash you can use apple cider vinegar, or a baking soda paste, or banana peels or even cucumber slices. Aloe vera is great when it heals, but don't use it while the rash is still weeping because it will cause spreading.

I see it more of if I want something done...I have to get off my butt and do it... It was spreading too much and i wasnt willing to sacrafice the liliac bush....

I knew the risks by not wearing long sleeve shirt but I wore gloves... The dirt spraying up in my eye was not something I foresaw...

Yes I knew the risks

I do that sometimes, though, Wikid. This weird combo of getting stuff done, but also kind of punishing myself in the process. Continuing with work when I knew I was getting blisters or hurting my back. I used to do that more, and then try to make my H feel badly because it was his fault I was hurt by having to do so much because he was being such a slacker. It's one of the things that I realized I had to really work on. It doesn't sound like that was the issue for you, Ready, but it sure has been my issue in the past.

It was a little self sacraficing.... My H who would have done it but I wouldnt let him because he is highly allergic and last time his whole face ears and all blew up...he could hardly see... I wasnt taking chances with my little guy... So I have never been exposed so I didnt know how or if I would react....

But I know i do other self injurious things like I dont stay on a eating plan dr told me to use (lchp) and i dont take my preventative asthma medicine... So wiki...i am not above doing things like that.... Often i worry that i do things as attention seeking ... So I wait till H isnt home... Cause he might think I'm doing it to point out all he doesnt do...(which he has accused me of in past)

I haven't seen anything you posted, Mast, that seemed like it was getting an adverse reaction. Was it in some other part of the forum?

I should not start threads. I keep thinking that people can just express their own opinion without attacking mine or getting upset or defensive. eh. Among the many things I talked about in session yesterday was my inability to learn certain lessons. My T thinks it is a good trait that helped me survive with my spirit intact. I think it is a sign of some serious defect on my part.

Love urgent care... In and out in 20 minutes... on prednisone...my friend hates it but I usually feel better on it... Any arthritis issues get better and i get a little hyper mood lift....

The hunger, swollen face and grumpiness my friend claims to get is not something i experience but then again my dosage is probably a lot less than hers.

Lost a friend today. It was not a healthy friendship, when I discussed it with T his impression was that Friend was sado-masochistic and manipulative in dealings with me. So I cut it off. Feels pretty awful, though.

You have a worse ex than he does.

So, I've logged at least 10,000 steps the last 14 days, thanks to my fitbit. Will I keep it up? It has been amusingly encouraging so far. I think I may have some OCD tendencies.
