Baseball is non-existant and softball is only played socially. We are a rugby and cricket nation.

That's what I figued, there was a person seated near me who really didn't know the rules of baseball at all and I told him- if you think these rules are complicated wait until you go see a game of cricket

I got this funny image of you doing all the things people do to get ticks to back out, only doing it to your friend. Put some nail polish on him; light a match, blow it out, then put the hot end on his backside; put some rubbing alcohol on him; slowly pull him out with a pair of tweezers; etc. But the best part is, once he's removed, flush him!

Well the last few days haven't been too good for me, here's hoping that tomorrow is a little bit better for me.

I haven't seen my son very much lately, as I've been ill quite a bit. Finally starting to feel a little better, so I am having him stay with me until Friday afternoon. We took the dog and went out to the garden today. He helped me plant strawberry plants that my neighbor gave me, and then we picked just enough asparagus for me to make asparagus omelets with extra sharp cheddar for brunch tomorrow. Both he and the dog have drifted off to la-la land, probably having peaceful dreams. They each have their own way of making life simple.

It's supposed to be gray and rainy tomorrow, but a friend is supposed to come in the afternoon so that she can visit with my son while he's here. We are probably going to watch family videos. Sounds like another simple day of simple pleasures. Good for my soul.

I've been going through more intense grief regarding my former T. It's been almost a year since he had to quit his practice. My own work in therapy has mainly been dealing with the grief and loss. My T found out a month or so ago that the T who originally said she could start doing co-therapy and do trauma work with me, couldn't make the commitment after all. So it's been a bit rough, feeling like things have been put on hold for too long. I've had to work hard at calming down my "wonderful internal young'uns", as my T referred to them. (I have DID.) But, there is another therapist who is starting soon, who my T thinks will be a good fit. I'm hopeful.

It helps so much that spring is here, even though it's been a bit chilly and slow in coming. But the days I am able to get outside with my dog are incredibly rejuvenating to my body, soul, and spirit. I noticed that my lilac bush has tiny blossoms starting, and am hoping that we don't get frost tomorrow, or at least that it won't kill the buds. The blueberry bushes I planted less than a week ago are doing well, and are getting more and more blossoms. I love to see things grow, and find comfort and solace in the rhythm of the seasons.

I just got an email where the person put a p.s. at the end. Why? Maybe they haven't heard of a cursor...and the fact you can move it.
Thanks for this!

I need to bring up the subject of sex with my T, but feel awkward because at the start of every session I mentally undress him.

That would be an excellent place to start. Talking about it, I mean.

Even if he knows, he's probably waiting for you to tell him.

I just saw mom and dad falcon change shifts. So cute. I think it's the female on there now because she is bigger.

I just put on some veggies to stew for the day, I'm out of veggie stock in my fridge. That's a staple here. Finishing up a painting I am doing for a wedding I have to go to this weekend too. I'll give them money as well, but the bride requested a painting.

I hit the beach yesterday, let the girls run. Kept Lucy on a lead. It was her first beach walk, and she didn't know what to think of the water. It was cute.
Hopefully I'll get back there a few more times before Memorial Day hits, dogs aren't allowed on the beach after that.

Have to take my friend a few places and then have to do some things at work.

The reality that I will be loosing my Therapist in a few weeks is really starting to sink in .

Even though I still have (just under) 3 weeks until my final session I am already at Hallmark looking at Goodbye Cards, just browsing today, there are a lot of good Goodbye Cards so it will be hard for me to pick out just one.

It's what we were fighting for, after all.

I suggest a homemade card. It's the only way to go. You want her to remember you, right?

ha ha....

Well, since I live in a tourist trap, the beaches officially open on Memorial Day, and they don't allow animals on them then...it might scare off tourists. On Labor Day (in September) we can walk the dogs there again. Also, they charge money to park at the beach from Memorial Day thru Labor day, anywhere from $15 to $40 depending on the beach. Unless you have a resident sticker (which is $35 for the season). Residents can park at their town beach for free. There is also a Cape-wide Beach sticker supposedly, but a lot of beaches are exempt. I am lucky, my town has a resident only beach, so I can avoid the tourists. It's not the greatest beach, but it's sunny, salty and clean...so it works.

Aren't ya glad you mentioned it? TMI, I know.

No I've pretty much decided on a Hallmark card, that is what I did with my first Therapist, I don't think I am going to do a note this time but I might hand write something inside of the card to give it a personal touch.

Although on the subject of remembering me I was thinking about giving her a photo of me inside the card but I am starting to think that might be too much.
