But as I wrote above, I'm super stressed at the moment, so I really shouldn't be giving advise on de-stressing....
Ok, sorry if I'm really slow but I get confused about what it is that you're teaching. I know I've asked this before. I know where you work and I know you give lectures but is it at a specific program (or whatever it's called in English) or do you for example give lectures on how to write a good essay or a good report or something in English when needed (or something else)? Hope it's ok I ask.

But yes, de-stressing is really difficult. I'm really bad at dealing with stress. Apparently that's what my new therapist is going to help me with. Well, I'm not sure I can call her my therapist. I'm supposed to meet her every once in a while (not that often) until my assessment is done and they can figure out what kind of help I really need.

My teaching is a bit nebulous, I guess :-) I don't teach any regular credit-giving courses or at any particular programme. (I used to teach at the English department, but due to labour regulations they couldn't employ me any longer without giving me a permanent job, which would have been against the labour regulations... the catch-22 of academia.) I give lectures on oral presentations and on academic writing (teachers within different fields contact us and ask us to come and give these lectures to their students), and sometimes I also lecture to teachers about how to teach academic writing and give good feedback. But what I mostly do is meet with students, individually, and discuss their writing assignments. Oh, and I also give a short oral proficiency course for international students - again, no academic credits.

Have you met with your new therapist? I'm sorry, I must have missed that! Does she seem ok?

(btw, on Wednesday we have a kind of open-house thing for students who are working on written assignments, and there will be some workshops or talks on de-stressing and how to deal with anxiety. Not sure if that's interesting, but just so you know.)

Oh, so you have a degree in rhetoric and composition then? I think I have a bit on an idea of what you do. I worked as a writing tutor when I was in school. It sounds like interesting work. Sometimes I really miss some of my clients from the writing center. I had to quit abruptly after SA. Seeing them around campus when I came back to finish school was so embarrassing.

That's pretty much what I thought. Thanks for explaining (again)! Which of those things do you enjoy the most?

Yes and no. Yes, I've met her before (she's been my contact at "Unga Vuxna" this whole time, she's the one who referred me to my previous therapist etc) and no, I haven't met her for therapy yet (she's pretty nice though). We're meeting up on Friday morning. However, I'm not sure you can call this therapy. We're apparently only going to meet up sporadically, with the goal to teach me how to deal with stress, until my assessment is done. Then we'll see what happens. I think they reckon they will then be able to tell more specifically what kind of help I really need. Do you know what I mean?

When and where? I'm afraid I don't finish until 5pm tomorrow.

You know you have the strength and ability within to go on, so let go of your crutches. You know you don't need to lean on the p-doc and medication anymore so don't be so scared to let go. Let life guide you. Don't be so scared of loss.

I'm so glad that your D results were not worse case scenario... Its so odd... I always thought mono was something you didn't get when you are so young... thought it was more of a "teenager" thing...

It is def. more prevalent amongst the teenage populations, because it is know as the "kissing disease.".. But not unheard of in little ones. However, her pediatrician said, kids with repeat strep infections like my daughter are known to get mono.

Bag balm came today. It burned a little, but it felt like it absorbed more deeply than anything else. Here's hoping. These lips of mine have me wondering about the collagen injected lips fad of the movie stars of this century (and before?). I am dribbling just about anything i eat or drink out the sides of my mouth - how attractive is that? No wonder they're so thin, they cant take a chance on putting anything near their lips in public

Anyway thanks for the recommendation stopdog and wiki

My daughter got mono when she was in third grade, and then again in seventh, and then again her freshman year of high school. Be aware of the possibility of the virus flaring up again at a later time.
