Nice where I am too today. Youngest son had last football match of the season so have been at football watching him then on to collect other son from a party which got out of hand - I didn't know anything about it until I collected him. Drink was involved. And sick!

I wish I had my two son's closer together in age. I'm worried i won't be able to "keep it all together" for my younger son. I have 7 years till he graduates high school.

Hi, new to this forum. But I just wanted to announce that I just spilled syrup all over my bed in an attempt to have a midnight snack. Now have to wash everything before I go to bed. Gurrrrr.

Hey people. I'm back from the UK, and am actually going to stay in the same country for almost two months... sweet! Only a month or so until T's summer holiday starts. Not so sweet. I'll have to ask him tomorrow about the exact dates.

The UK conference as a whole was a very difficult experience for me. I was not doing well at all, and avoided all other people. My own conference paper went really well, though, and in the long run that's the important thing. When I think back on emotional low points in previous years, I can remember them but they don't make me feel worse - but when I think back on professional failures that makes me feel bad still, so this is not only my knee-jerk "work is more important than emotions" reaction.

Granite, that kitten is very sweet.

Welcome to the new people on the couch. It's so good to see so many people posting here.

stopdog, I hope things are ok at your end. Likewise for rts, healed, CE, mkac, neutrino, wikid, granite, aaa, tametc, rt, hankstah, ike, murray, gtgt... (if your name is not in the list it only means that I have serious sleep deprivation and my memory banks are not working well.)

Hi Mast. Thanks so much for the good wishes.
Re the conference. So Pleased to hear your paper went well but very sorry to hear it was a difficult experience for you. It does sound overall positive. I am pleased for you in that respect. Two months in the UK! Will that be working?
Take good care of yourself.

Oops. Sorry, I phrased that badly. I won't travel to another country (that is, I'll stay in Sweden) for almost two months.

Welcome back, Mast.

Happy Monday all.. feeling pretty crappy today. Actually, Saturday I was pretty miserable, depressed, moody, thoughts were heading to bad places. It freaked me out.. It just came out of nowhere I haven't felt like this for probably a good month. Hoping it is a fluke, and I continue to improve.

I'm sorry that you have this happen, it seems quite often. Thinking of this as a mom.. but totally not knowing what this is about.... could it be that it is something you see as "fairly small" but maybe your mom sees as a "big deal"... (for me and my boys... neatness is a real issue and definitely the importance is seen differently)

or

is there a "major" thing between you and your mom... that is being ignored and it is causing major blowups over small things?

or

no offense but maybe your mom is just a "little nutty"

Hey all, hope everyone is having a pretty good day.
Healed-hope your mood balances back very soon.

Today has been pretty good so far. I went to workout shortly after my aunt came to be with grandma for a while around 9am here. Man all I did was walk and every muscle in my body aches. Iced the arch of my right foot as it was very tender when I got home.

Now in bed for a nap. Debating to do cardio kickboxing tonight but we'll see how I feel later. Not much else to do today...just chillin'.

See ya's later!
Thanks for this!

RTS........I would say that it is a combination of things that causes these blowups to occur.

The only things I like to bring to bed are books, and cups of tea. Sometimes my computer. And the cats. Sorry to hear about the syrup incident, depletion.

tametc - I like to travel, very much, but it's exhausting too.
Thanks for this!

I'm glad you get a bit of a break before you're off on your next adventure.

My dog brings her chew bones and rawhides to bed. Every night when I tell her it's time for bed, she grabs her nearest stuffed toy and trots down the hallway, tail wagging. Occasionally, I have to collect a few and put them away in her "toybox". She had so many bones in the bed one time when she was younger, that I said, "How many bones does one dog need?" And then I ended up making up a little song for her. Whenever I sing it now, she gets excited, because she knows it's "her song".

How many bones does one dog need, if her name is Jewel?
If I gave her just one bone, she would say I'm cruel.
Bones of two would never do, and three bones would still be too few--
So, tell me, how many bones does one dog need, if her name is Jewel?

If I were to give her four, do you think she would want more?
And if I were to give her five, do you think she could survive?
Somebody, please tell me, how many bones does one dog need,
if her name is Jewel?

My former T told me I should find someone who writes music, so they could listen to the melody and write it out for me. Then he thought I should copyright it. I told him I hadn't finished it yet.
