he and his siblings killed their mother and would I please not tellAnd I have mistrusted all doctors since. He about killed me too with inappropriate pill concoctions made up of bags and bags of samples. I think he was trying to get me to kill myself after spilling the beans about what he did. He even told me 6 cop cars surrounded his home and almost arrested him on the spot the day they injected their mom.

How does one get over something like this??? Pdoc told me ... (Graphic Violence ) Pdoc told me ... (Graphic Violence ) Pdoc told me ... (Graphic Violence ) Pdoc told me ... (Graphic Violence )
Thanks,
Okie

One runs fast to another T and if that one flakes out, you run fast to the next until you come to one that is not even close to being that incredibly creepy and unprofessional.

Try not to mistrust all docs because of one screw-up. Instead I like to look at them one on one and see how they screw up. Many do, some don't. There are incompetent people in every field after all. Sometimes it takes awhile to seek one out that is really a good match.

Give them a chance, but don't hesitate to cruise on out if they demonstrate incompetence or make you feel uncomfortable in a way that's not therapeutic.

Sorry to ramble. I'm not much help. Too wired to focus my thoughs tonight. In summary, keep looking until you find a T that's not a flake. Good luck...

I had trouble going from no doctors to too many after my appendix burst and I had all sorts of complications. There are types of doctors I won't go near too but I'm trying to overcome that by finding a "low level" health care provider and just doing the basic tests, etc. I love my nurse practitioner and she's already helped me with a visit to the Emergency Room and straightening out what they had to do that I didn't agree with. Maybe try finding a non-major "doctor"/health care provider like that and working on a good relationship with them before seeing another and working your way back to a pdoc that a health care provider you know and respect suggests?

Hello I hope things get better for you soon. I hope you stay open minded that not all doctors are bad. You need someone that is in charge of your mental health treatment that is competent, and you need to possiblky work on your PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) that you have had since this ordeal. I am very sorry that you have had to deal with someone elses problems, and concerns in this manner, but you need to do the best thing and get the help you deserve for your mental health treatment, for you to stay healthy. Take care Sincerely Soidhonia

OMG!!! What a neat and yet so scary experience! If you tell someone he could get his Practice taken from him and lisence. That must be thrilling knowing and being in a spot like that. Stuff like that usaully only happens in movies! But it must also be sorta scary and that medication he gave you, you could also get him in trouble for! I would mis trust them also. I'm sorry to say this but it's up to you, either get him busted or keep his little about to grow lie. Good luck and let us know how you get on! Pdoc told me ... (Graphic Violence )

Please find a therapist you can learn to trust. This relationship was over before it began, imo. TC

I was messed up for quite a while because of what he did. I did report it, but I wasn't particularly credible myself at the time. I recall that he was sanctioned somehow but don't remember the details. It was just a huge mess. I'm glad it's over, but obviously, it's difficult to forget. Perhaps with all your great support I will get enough courage to reach out once again.

Thanks and take care!

well it sounds like you did the right thing then, and now it is time to do the right thing for yourself... and that IS to reach out and find a new T. Perhaps this could be one of your questions during interview? The new T's reaction and response might tell you quite a bit...

yes, they have to mind their words because some ppl do make things up to get a reaction from Ts, but it's important to you so it should be to them too... and they need to treat it with care... up to you Pdoc told me ... (Graphic Violence )

There are many more good Ts out there, I'm sure!

Does your state or country have a website where you can check to see if your T, doctor, mental health care provider or health care provider has been sanctioned? My state does. Perhaps you can ask the Better Business Bureau if your state has a site or phone number where you can check out your provider's history.
I'd also suggest that you try a T/doctor that someone else has seen and had good luck with.
I'd like to also thank you for reporting your Pdoc. It might keep this from happening to future clients. So you are helping to protect us by reporting him/her.

i am a firm believer in removing dangerous medical professionals from the "scene"........i've been involved twice in helping get someone's license revoked and i hope you will check into his history and see if he is practicing now........he did such a number on you that it stands to reason that he has hurt others. we'll support you, okiedokie........just talk to us when you need to. love, pat
