Third party only. But even that is expensive for young men.

Healed...as a mother of 2 boys who together have gone to 6 preschool/daycares between the 2 of them... not all daycares know how to handle boys. My older son was in a preschool and was struggling with fine motor skills (writing/cutting/etc). I had him evaluated by the child study team at the public school system... they said that the preschool teaching and expectations were not realistic for any boy let alone one with delays.

They put him in the public school prek and he did great. The differences I found was the private preschools do a lot of seat work and coloring and well stuff that caters to girls. The public preK did lots of stretching and motion and running in place and jumping jacks in between desk work but most of their learning was hands on and more done in a fun way.

Just a thought. My 22 year old nephew was thrown out of 2 preks and he is a perfectly normal adult.

Not every prek is right for every child.
Thanks for this!

Who goes to T and says "I don't want to come here but I feel compelled. Its physically painful if i don't and helps the noise in my head". I don't understand what keeps making me come back.

I very rarely go off the couch and hardly out of the psychotherapy forum. If I do its just a quick browse. Just realised I'm re-enacting my IRL habits on the board. Thats not what i originally came here for.

Have you said this to T? I think that's important.

Tell me about the noise in your head.

Weirdness should hold no terrors for a T.

Oh, I thought you had some kind of insight into the voices. Or were you practising putting on your T hat?

Just poking my nose in.
I didn't think you had mentioned the voices before. I was curious.

also in T this week I was confused about sinister and playful. T asked if my brother chased me with playful or sinister intent. I thought whats the difference and asked (felt like an idiot) but at the time I couldn't differentiate playful and sinister, they seemed the same in this context.

***TW child abuse*****

On the particular occasion i was talking about I don't think so, but he did on a regular basis. No, i don't think he intended to, I think because he was allowed to visit our biological parents and came back with cuts and burns I think he just thought it was maybe a display of affection. idk

Man talk about a therapy hangover. I really had to struggle to function at work today. I caught myself making a bunch of mistakes, and am sure I didn't catch just as many or more. I got stupid emotional and cried a couple of times when somebody yelled at me on the phone. Sheesh. what a weird freakin' session. I have a funny feeling we were almost about to discover - something - and now all I feel is self-hatred and I want to quit again!!! For heaven's sake does this merry go round or roller coaster or whatever it is ever stop?! I trust my T though - and when she said she thought we should start talking weekly again, I didn't argue. In fact I felt hugely relieved when she said it. I am not going to quit. Not now... I've come way too far to give up on myself now. But it was a weird, weird T day today. I was going to have a glass of wine before bed, but think with the way I've been dreaming lately, alcohol would not be a good idea. Nighty night couch, pleasant dreams to all who are on the same side of the globe as me, and have a good day to those on the other side! I'm glad to close the door on this day!

Good morning couch. I'm enjoying a little pre-dawn peace with Steve Martin & the Steep Canyon Rangers.

I've always wanted to learn guitar, promised myself I'd take lessons once I finish my degree but he seriously makes me consider banjo.

On the road with my horse, my dog and a great friend. Heading to a ride where we will meet more great people and compete this weekend. Feeling excited and nervous and pretty happy. Trying hard not to think about my session last week or the upcoming one. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hmmm, so. My friend has started with a new t, who makes her, wait for it, HOT CHOCOLATE!
I love my t dearly, she is wonderful in every way. Except no tea from t.
I know I come across as a bit tea obsessed, but that is because I am.
Thinking of defecting to my friends t (which means that my friend will have to stop seeing her, but I'm sure she can find another one) so I can have a cup of tea. Does this seem like a good plan? Anyone else get tea, or any other hot beverage?

OMG Red75 I am totally with you on this. I thought about bringing a flask!
I have noticed a coffee machine plus mugs have appeared in T's room recently, I don't know if it's for group therapy or supervision or something but I keep thinking why don't you offer me one?!
Nothing like a cup of tea and a chinwag!
Thanks for this!

My t's coffee smells great but it is so strong it keeps me awake for two days. I stayed up all night last night becausr of my stupid non-decaf yucky homemade chai. It smelled like cupcake batter! I ordered some decaf chai on amazon.

I was reading a jackson brodie mystery by kate atkinson. Really really good but boy it takes me a long time anymore. Or seems like, anyway.

The first would has never offered any thing and I would not take it if she did. I have no urge to handle hot liquid projectiles at appointments. The second used to ask and then after I turned it down time after time, said she would leave it to me to ask if I ever did. I have no desire to drink anything with the therapists.

If I were you Red, I'd straight up say 'my friend gets tea from her T, why don't you make me tea?' (insert pout).
