You're in oil software, right?

How do you snuff someone's candle without burning your fingers and splattering hot wax everywhere.

-10 points to the unhelpful person who suggests a candle snuffer

Blow on it? If you hold up a finger in front of the candle it's not going to splatter.

Thanks mast
I realised yesterday that my ex still carries an industrial sized candle for me. That is why I keep saying I am not responsible for others feelings. But it hard after 20 years..and I was unpleasant to him when wanted me my to look at his back. I was all "get a doc to look at it " but it turns out he values my opinion

So you're not necessarily tied to the oil industry.
It would be a wrench to lose your job but it's not like you're a roughneck.

Because I was in software, I survived a construction crash and a forestry crash and if there is an xxxx crash I'll survive that too.

Or did you mean that your whole state will die without oil revenue?

I got to see t.. The snow moved south of us earlier than expected. It was weird, lots of T's were not there so it was really quiet.

I have come to the realization that I hate myself. That's not a good feeling.

There was one of those hundred car and truck crashes due to white-out snow here in michigan and one of the trucks was carrying fireworks and they showed on tv the fireworks going off in the crash. Freakin scary.

Well, I never thought I'd say those words. I sure have a lot to figure out. The pile keeps getting bigger.

I need someone to help me dispel the Myth of the Bad Parent.

This barrel of toxic waste is currently stored in a cellar under Madame T, but I'd like to see it permanently destroyed.

Easy. Its right next to the Myth of the Good Parent.

You only have to be, or have, a good-ENOUGH parent. Not perfect, still flawed, but good enough that a child knows he matters.

Dove facial soap used to be advertised as "one-quarter cleansing cream" and was my dad's favorite soap forthe smell. I think thats about how much good enough parenting i got from the two of them together, and it probably wasnt quite enough. The other three quarters kinda cancelled it out, practically speaking. But it was something i could hold on to.

Hope this helps.

Do you think it is a myth? I think such a thing actually exists.

The parenting conversations all over PC are really painful for me. In a world where the parents take the blame, I have exposed both of my girls to way more anguish and scars than they deserve. I'd like to think the efforts I'm making aren't too little too late. I'm prepared to pay for therapy for both of them until I no longer have earnings potential, but that is the smallest thing I'm doing for them, not the only thing.

Kids get exposed to stuff. Theyre very curious! But honestly the fact that you care and are aware makes a big difference. Your case is not my case. If for instance you were at all aware of when your girls were having their period, and it was something they could share with you, did they have cramps, did they need supplies, you are a million points ahead. If you never showed you cared about their physical wellbeing this way, then i can recommend a good t!
Thanks for this!

I'm not talking about me being a bad parent. I'm talking about casting other people in that role.

At what stage do you start to use surface spray? Is it after the ants have cleaned up the kitchen of crumbs or is it after they carried your fridge half way out the door?

Chicken, green bean casserole, and mashed potatoes. Comfort food on the menu tonight. Yum.

BPA, sounds like time for an exterminator. Have you sprayed outside. They're probably coming in through your walls. I find weather changes, rain, etc. starts them moving around. Usually if we spray in the usual spots outside, they stop coming inside.

Today I am also going to give myself permission to have fun. Why I feel I need to give myself permission I do not know.

About 15 mins of reading SD post about stylus I had a need to use the pen bit...
