I think that is a refrain. I would rather not be helped (and I am not talking about you) and not shamed than shamed by someone and have it justified as because they care.

YEs, me too. But sometimes I see something I think is so off, I do it anyway. It made me a good public defender. I did not so much care about the clients personally for the most part (often they are unpleasant unhappy people - not all - but a good number) - but I hate the way the state bullies and judges think they get to lecture. And sometimes, when the stars lined up just right, a judge would go so far in the lecturing as to cause reversible error. And I would think, you know, if you (judge) just would sentence the guy and shut up instead of getting all high and mighty and condescending and full of yourself, I would not have had any grounds for reversal.

That sucks granite. That was pretty much how I was last night... And fairly often these days. I hope it stops for you soon.

Customers and clients are rarely useful.

I know the feeling... I'm working hard on staying focused on the present and what I am getting done. Otherwise I'm just making myself sick and panicking and that's *really* not helpful.

For what it is worth, I found the second therapist I see through referrals from a therapist seen by someone quite close to me. The referring therapist even called to talk to me to make sure she had my requirements clear in what I was looking for and then she called me back with the names and numbers of four 4 to try. The 4 I called had no (or indicated they had no - they are wily) idea who had referred me nor would they (at least 3 said this -one asked who had given the referral) knowledge of, desire to look for, or tell the referring therapist I had contacted them. I don't think one need worry if you try to get a referral for someone, that it somehow makes you responsible for ensuring the person follows up with the info you got for them. I would very much have not like it had I felt obligated just because of being given the names of some to try.

I hate when that happens!

Before i left my last job, some people were doing maintenance on a system i wrote. This guy said, this code doesnt make sense, it should be coded the opposite. Im like, yes, i remember that, but it doesnt WORK coded the opposite - you will see if you test it. He goes - oh im not gonna test it, im just gonna change it cuz it doesnt look right and i wanted you to okay it.

I was like i say here, and the insurance commercial - thats not how it works!!!
Thanks for this!

So this year was my year to get a MacBook and stop keeping computer repairmen in business. It's a HUGE investment for me, so I want to make sure it's as impossible to infect as Linux was.

SD, once in 6 years is something I can live with. Catonyx, you're loving yours too?

More ammunition anyone?
I got my first Mac computer in 1993. Never had a Windows computer in my home (well, I do have a dual-boot on my Macbook with Windows installed, but I only run one specific piece of software on it). I have never had a virus or any kind of malware.

I have worked at places where I had to use a Windows computer and I did not like the experience. But I don't know how much if that was simply my not being used to it.

So, I have lapsed tonight, which I feel ashamed about. I'm not sure I can own up to it with my addiction psych. Will start again from the beginning tomorrow, I suppose. I didn't realise I was so dependent on alcohol - cannabis, yes, but not alcohol ... well, not for a long time.

I find my feelings to be annoying. No wonder I never wanted to feel anything, ever.

My ex looked disappointed when the girls and didn't run around shouting "please don't go, stay here" so now he is seriously looking. And i put my claim in for family payments. I thought this was too easy he has to have something else up his sleeve. I don't trust him at all.

Thanks for all the support guys

TWF, I hope you can talk to your AP about this. I would think that's exactly the kind of thing they are there to help you with.
