MKAC - good luck with the smell. I hope you don't have to turn the furnace off.

I wouldn't know what to do with a blanket in therapy, even if it was clean...it just seems awkward. Both of my Ts have space heaters if their offices get cold.

The office is always hot. I end up taking off my jacket and hoodie... And rolling up my sleeves.

I have thought about that. I am always in a hurry (I am late for everything), so I bet I would leave it at home or in the car. And even if I brought my own, it would be touching the couch where all the other pillows touch! Yeah, I know...I have issues.

Ah. I'd be concerned about the same... But I would still prefer my own as at least it was getting second hand germs from the couch and not directly from other people.

Do you sit on the therapist's couch or chair or carry in your own? I did carry my own in because of back problems

The couch...although I don't like them in general (germs and the lack of comfort). I tried a chair once in one of my Ts offices and it was also terrible (it was a poorly designed chair). I have considered bringing my own after I saw in your post that you do. An hour is about the max I can sit "comfortably"...and even then it really takes some effort. What kind of chair do you use?

True...I just kind of think of it as a germfest. I even get changed out of my clothes when I get home from therapy. Ha.

A wooden folding chair with a straight back. It is not great, but easier to shift around and not sink into than on the horrible couch. The other one I see has a straight back upholstered chair which is not great but okay.

My T's office just has a chair. I don't mind it though.

WOW the couch's really seem to be moving fast these days. One thing I can remember about 1985 is "Live Aid".

If it bothers you that much then you are brave, but I only take public transit unless I'm walking and to my knowledge it's never made me sick.

My non-huggable dog is lying on my feet and snoring.

It is interesting what we react to. I don't often worry about germs, but being trapped is not for me. Germs are harder to avoid, so if they are distressing I imagine it could be harder in being out in public.

I think I marched in my first gay pride parade in 1985.

Being trapped is one of my numerous fears but my big huge one is doing something wrong and messing something up because of it.

I hate being trapped too, mostly on airplanes. I always get an aisle seat

My daughter (lesbian) and her best friend (asexual) attended the Pride Festival where we live, came home fighting about the lack of representation the asexual community had at said festival, and I had to remind them both that less than 50 years ago NOBODY was represented and they should both shut up, and encouraged said best friend to become an activist to ensure representation in future events.

Oh, why is StressedMess on the couch at 1am? She just finished a Literature test at 12:40 and can't sleep without checking in!

Good night/good morning everyone!
