So much work to do around here, and so lazy! Only slept 3 hours last night, been trying since 7 to go back to snoozeville but it's not happening. Guess I should wash straighten or otherwise clean something here. See you later!

The news in the Dallas suburbs and Garland and Rowlett is very grim this morning. 11 dead so far. Over 600 structures damaged. Just getting first images as the sun is coming up. Because this happened at night and the power all went out, it was hard to assess last night and finding people has been difficult.

I refuse to enter zoos anymore - the older I get, the more I hate the idea of zoos - or I'd offer to throw some catnip to the big cats there and let you know.

Every year I tell myself, "I'm going to do it! I'm going to buy snow pants and be all about that snow!" And then every year I think "I hate snow pants. I don't want to go out in the snow!"

I've heard it said there's no bad weather, just bad clothing. But I do not enjoy the snow. I don't think it's magical. I think it's cold.

Just got back from Office Max bought hubby a computer chair, cuz his old one broke and he'd been using one of the kitchen chairs. They had one 50% off today and tomorrow, so yay! Also while I was there I found house-brand pens clearanced at ten cents a bag. I bought 6. And printer ink, and an 8 pak of notepads. I like using those for poeming, as opposed to spiral notebooks, not sure why that is. I use those for my dream journals and therapy journals, and I buy a whole bunch of them every time they're 10 for a dollar during back to school sales.

That, and laundry, is my exciting day! haha

The three days of rain is getting us all down. Snow would be worse in some ways but at least the dogs would go out and play in it.

Why do we need three rain emotica -

and no sun emoticon?

Best I could do was this:

Hope your weather turns soon! Wet dog is not a pleasant smell.

Can't say I like snow; vicious cold wet white stuff. It somehow seems more appropriate than 80 degrees out and running the airconditioning in the winter. Could Mother Nature pick a season already? She's more indecisive than I am - and that's really saying something!

Watching a TV show this afternoon and being lazy. Did a kitchen clean and cooked today, so definitely deserve a break. Tomorrow is my last day off, if I promise to be productive then, can I be a slug now?
Thanks for this!

When I first lived in New York, I had to develop an ignore function in my head, to screen out the street noise, the strange people on the subway, the crowds always around me, etc.

It works well for internet forums too.
Thanks for this!

"To grieve, you need to acknowledge the pain for what it is; pain"- T

I feel it. I feel so much pain. I really hope that by acknowledging this pain I will be able to move on. Everybody says she's bad for me and is a ****** friend but they don't understand the good parts. It's not her fault that my feelings are this deep. It's hard to express the mess I feel inside. Why am I not good enough?? And why am I jealous at the fact that she uses someone else more than me?? Just the fact that I'd prefer to be used than to be nothing...

And it just hurts when we hang out because of the rejection. I know she wants to be friends but I'm so scared that I can't. I don't want to cut her off again and not let her visit me when I'm back in school but it's so hard for me. I've already took a 2 month break from her where I cut her off but the minute she's back, I'm dragged back to square one... how do I remain friends without that hope?

I just discovered, via a British programme, that Australia has a Baseball League. Clearly only shown on Fox/Sky Sports.

Hey, it's an international sport!

Pretty sure Opening Day for the 2014 American baseball season was held at the Sydney Cricket Grounds. Arizona Diamondbacks vs the LA Dodgers maybe?

Eta: there are some Aussies playing in the major leagues. Mostly pitchers I think.

Hi, couch.

Worked all day yesterday and today at CVS. Both days were crazy. I survived Christmas. I only got p-o-ed once. That was my cue to leave though and I called them all a-holes as I was pulling out of the driveway (with my windows up of course, so no one heard).

I still need to finish cleaning my room. I had most of it clean, but now I have empty boxes from Christmas presents that I need to break down and recycle.

The resident dog has been spending time with me when I am home...he is starting to like me...I'm sure that will change when his mommy comes home though.

Well, I need to go shower and then try to finish cleaning. Need to clean out my car tomorrow.

Later, couch.

No worries. Baseball sometimes seem to be a secret here, too, after football season starts.
