I remember precious little of the consent form I signed at my first session with current t. She gave me a copy of her current one not too long ago. It does say something like that - but not quite as strong - "As with any Depth Psychotherapy, you may experience uncomfortable thoughts or feelings at times." ya think, T? "This may be part of the process of the work."
Thanks for this!

Halloween candy is popping up in the stores already. Soon there will be Christmas stuff. I swear it gets earlier every year.
Thanks for this!

I need therapy etiquette help. I just got an email from No. 3, confirming her receipt of my final payment for our Skype sessions. Then she adds how very disappointed she is that we're no longer working together and she wishes she could be the one "to walk with you to the end of your therapy journey" (bleah).

I'm assuming this is mere politeness, but does it require a response?

No, Erasmus is my invisible friend! And he doesn't wear hats, he says they stifle his brain.

I think the picture is Beatrice, and the other one is Eugenie.

Eek. I would say no because I wouldn't know what to say back to that?? Eek again.

Umm....wow. Just wow.

It feels like......I dunno, the email equivalent of the locker room encounter?

I suppose...the irony then would be that early on after I complained about No. 1 to her, she assured me she had "really good boundaries."

I don't think one is socially compelled to respond -but if exhankster is correct and those people like to have the last word - I would write a short message back just to thwart such a thing.

Ugh, I ran out of my gabapentin last night and it didn't realize it until this morning. Even with my sleeping meds I feel way off. Preparing for a long night, life is freaking awesome.

Sometimes stuff I read here makes me even more hostile to therapists than I already am. I want to go scare a therapist now.

Mmm...is that really strong enough? Did I mention in that email she used both an emoticon AND a triple exclamation point? Truth.

Well it is slightly better than "Thank God I don't have to endure your sessions any more."

I would not bother to reply. You might get more of the same.
