Evening couch.

I tried to catch up on the couch before CVS, but the power went out, which meant the internet router went out. Grrr...

Power was still out 2 hours later when I left for CVS. Stopped for Chinese take-out on way home from CVS. Came home and ate it. Power was already back on by then, thank goodness. Now I am caught up on the couch and checking in.

Evening meds already taken. I took my lorazepam, but I am not tired. Though it has never made me tired. Just calms me down. When I am manic and not sleeping, pdoc always tells me to take Benadryl to get to sleep. It normally works, but I don't have any right now. It is probably a little safer than an addicting sleeping pill, which I would not take even if pdoc suggested it.

Benadryl doesn't have any effect on me. I have to take seroquel to sleep, and sometimes remeron.

Glad you are going to urgent care I don't really understand what urgent care is, is it different to an emergency room at a hospitals?

Polling ideas for poll threads:

If after hearing about your usual family drama + current circumstances, your therapist tells you that you really should write a book because your life is just so very weird, would you....?

a. Take it as a compliment and tell them to hook you up with a good agent if they know one
b. Take serious offense
c. Stare back at them, in an attempt to telepathically convey WTF?
d. Other (please elaborate)

(Stay tuned for the next idea for a poll thread -- if your therapist compares the experience of therapy to "falling in [very monogamous] love")
Thanks for this!

Yeah, it's better -- you can wait hours at the ER. Urgent care, not so much.

Is it attached to a medical centre or is it just devoted to caring for things that aren't really life threatening. We have nothing like this over here

I think you can have it both ways.

The ones I've gone to have typically been attached to (university) hospitals but I've seen ones that are just part of a for-profit healthcare chain.

Part of the issue is that if you just wanted to go see a regular doc (say, internal medicine) for something not-so-major but still bothering you a fair bit, you might have to wait a helluva long time to get an appointment. And, if you go to the ER, that has its own hassles. But, urgent care takes care of that gap, if that makes sense?
Thanks for this!

I need to watch ER -- I had no idea that George Clooney was in it (my therapist enlightened me on that point).

EVERY episode of Good Wife, i was like, "Take THAT, george clooney! She's showing YOU!" He was unkind to her back when she had curly hair.

I KNOW its just a show, but STILLLLL!
