The good energy stuff is spot on -- I used to go by that for a long while and somehow, recently, seem to have entirely chucked that part of my brain.

So, thanks for the reminder

I have an absolute dread (without any experience actually) of dealing with actual people as landlords as opposed to impersonal office managers who are employees for a rental management company and who really couldn't care less about the tenants and would just do (or not do) what needs to be done and call it a day?

She seems incredibly nice and funny and reasonable and kind and so on. And, she doesn't live there. And, yet I dread....I dunno what.

I'm trying to figure out how much of this is entirely my (no-doubt) craziness vs. there really is something to be said for dealing with impersonal office people vs. owner-persons?
If they are good landlords, you are better off dealing with them directly.
If they are bad landlords, you are better off with an intermediary.

I've been obsessively looking at houses lately. I like where I live fine, I just don't like the 25 minute (one way) commute. I know to a lot of people that isn't very much but.... I told my mom about this and said explicitly that I wanted her to talk me out of it. She didn't.

So I've got pre-approval for a loan and an appointment to see a house Friday morning. What am I doing???

Info has apparently done this before. She's touchy-feely too (but she asks, so I can say no if I want). Clearly those are not part of her boundaries.

On landlords, btw, my experience with owner-landlords has been positive. Twice so far. Like them better than management companies.

Hey couch! I haven't been around too much lately due to overtime at work and studying... didn't have OT today, so I just finished the first section of chapter 6. It is a LONG chapter - it has 3 sections in it, and I just looked at section 2 and it has 8 sub-sections! What have I gotten myself into?! This chapter is about Sensation and Perception.

And I learned something interesting, that's actually a THING. It's called "perceptual set" and is a mental predisposition to perceive one thing and not another. As in "believing is seeing" instead of the other way around. Like, when we expect to hear one thing, even if what is said is something else, we'll "hear" what we expect. That really helps explain why we sometimes experience our t's as 'saying' one thing (what our childhoods conditioned us to expect) when they really said something else.

I think maybe?

Or I could just be tired. I'm putting up the books for now and going to watch tv for a bit with h before bed.

Frustrated too with this past week because I played Kupp and had I played anyone else at WR from my bench I would have won. Sigh. It's just a game... it's just a game, right
I think the worst is when you lose by only a few points! I'd rather get blown out than lose by such a small margin! Do you play on Yahoo Sports? Do you use their stat-tracker? It's really cool because it shows you what your optimal line up should have been and you can click on standings and see live standings every minute of your matchup. I just love it!

BTW, I 've been playing FF for 12 years and feel like I know just about all of the players but have never heard of Kupp! Had to look him up! My big WR problem is that I lost my yahoo connection during the draft and so auto-draft kicked in and gave me Davante Adams from GB, not too bad, right? BUT, I had already picked Jordy Nelson, so it's ridiculous to have 2 top WR's from the same team (GB)! I'm going to see if I can trade with someone who might have a bye week problem or something....

I just love this time of you! Better luck next week!

Thought I heard Jordy got injured on Sunday. Also, some other WR I think on GB. Might not be a bad time to hold one and play the other.

I've been playing Yahoo since 2002, long time. The last few years I haven't spent that much time in research. Ugh, I hate auto-draft for that specific reason. Sometimes you'll take a gamble on a player for one reason or another but then you need someone that is more of a sure bet and there's no way to put that gut instinct into the auto-draft picker.

The worse was one year I ended up in 4 leagues... I couldn't root for anyone because inevitably they would be on an opposing team in another league. That was too much for me. Yeah, Sunday's night game was horrible to watch from my FF stand point. I saw the score at half time and was like... GB, need you to get back in this game, put a little pressure for ATL to pass the dang ball. Nope, a fumble 6 - ugh. Sigh. I actually have a pretty good team. I'm the commish and I think I might have made the roster a bit too easy. It's a 12 team league and I usually hate that because towards the end you end up with junk, so I went with qb, 2 wr, 1rb, 1te, 1wr/rb/te, K, def. Maybe I should have gone with 2 flex players.

Maybe we should create our own thread as to not clutter the couch with sports talk.
Thanks for this!

I had this problem for years. My pelvis was misaligned and my sacral joint was impacted as a result. I finally started seeing a chiropractor regularly. What a relief! I've gone from kind of taking it for granted I'd be sore in the mornings or if I moved wrong, to thinking Wow! it feels amazing to not be stiff and sore, to taking it for granted that I feel fine.

The perceptual set concept does sound interesting. I hadn't heard of it before, but it actually does make a lot of sense for me.

I think M would be a chimpanzee. Warm and intelligent, but also kind of weird and derpy, and occasionally frighteningly protective of certain things.

L would be something slinky, like a cat or a wolf. Something grey. Loyal but distant.

I am pretty sure I'll be adopting this cat, Rosie <3 I have to wait because she's nursing kittens.

Cons- my landlord charges a rent hike for pets, she's a stray and I don't know her history though my friend who found her said she's litter trained and clearly has lived well with people in the past, obviously not spayed, I have never had a pet and am not accustomed to adjusting my budget to accommodate one

I'd take one of her kittens, but again I've never had a pet, so I'd rather take an older cat who already knows the drill.

There was a thread about famous Ts, and I said that "my T isn't a superstar, but gives interviews on a radio or TV sometimes".
Sometimes. He's on a radio ~3 times a week lately! I'm afraid he's a superstar now!
I'm jealous

My T is quite well known in this country. (When I told Luc who he is, she had heard of him). I'm ridiculously proud of him. Like stupidly so. As though I have some part in his achievements
I wonder if a part of you is scared of losing him as he becomes more well known and has more external commitments? Have you talked to him about it?
