Eyestrain I imagine, between overtime at work and studying, and maybe I need new glasses? It was such a sharp pain - as if a bee sting my eyeball. Oh the horror of that thought.
Go get it looked at. Is it worse in the bright light and not as bad at night? If it's what I have, the eyedrops will make it better almost immediately, no stabbing pains in the eye anymore. You have to take steroid eye drops for a week or so. I get flare ups when I'm under stress. Have one right now.

T would always hand me tissues. I would never use them though

Sometimes I've thought certain topics would take a long time, then realized that I didn't need to talk as much as I'd thought about them once I start.
I hope your session went well!! Thank you for the ideas. I did make a list in my phone, but somehow when it came time to read it, it all felt way too personal to say out loud. We did talk about one thing on my list though

Info wanted to give me a high five today. For what, I could not tell, as I had done nothing high-five-worthy, so I just stared at her till she put her hand down. Just call me Amy Vanderbilt.

Then later she confused me with the following book description: "it's about a group of women in, uh...the Middle East...who meet in a group to explore their lives...especially after the political changes in that country...so they meet in a group to explore themselves..."

It took me a bit to get that she was referring to Reading Lolita in Tehran.

I do find her amusing.

Thanks, Summer! Glad you were at least able to talk about one of the topics. Maybe you'll be ready for some of the other ones in the future?

I went in with a list, too, but we mostly ended up talking about other stuff. I think because I'm a new client (this was my second session), T2 is focusing on getting to know and understand me before tackling some of the issues I want to address. It was still a good session and helpful though.

Just checked my online course and found that I earned full credit for both my discussion post and my unit 1 written assignment. Yay! (Although I doubt the poor man read my paper, all almost-1,800 words of it lol he probably said nope, here take full credit and go away!)

Now I have to figure out which of the two choices for the unit 2 written assignment I want to do - choice 1: "Think of a behavior (BAD HABIT) you would like to change using operant conditioning etc..... " and choice 2 is "If there were a special machine that could erase any memories that you wanted, would you use it? Explain the memory, why etc..."

I have no idea yet which one I am going to choose. These papers are like therapy homework... maybe I'll do both and submit the best one. And try to stick a little closer to the minimum word requirement (450 words) this time. Ha. And double ha! Not me. I love to write...

Oh! And I peeked ahead to the chapter on Therapy - there's an online activity called "Mystery Therapist" and it's taking every bit of restraint I possess to not look at it!
Thanks for this!

I sometimes get overwhelmed especially when I have to research my own stuff with limited guidelines I always end up with 20 articles of things that interest me and about 3 related to the assignment.

Does anyone else feel blue when Autumn comes on? It seems like it happens to me every year. My T suggests fresh air and sunlight, exercise and leafy greens. Which makes me feel rather like a cow put out to pasture.

Moo.

Someday before I'm dead people will reference "the 20's" and I won't know whether they mean the 1920's or 2020's.
