A memory just jarred itself loose from Tuesday’s session. Info told me she was menopausal (context: her memory). This is the second time a therapist has told me that (No. 3 told me she was no longer producing estrogen). Do they really think a client wants to know that?

(I’m also unsympathetic, being in medical menopause myself and I still have a pretty good memory, except for therapy sessions.)

H and I went on a jet boat ride today that goes from Laughlin down to Lake Havasu and back. We had a great time!! I was staring at the beautiful scenery in the gorge we went through but deep in thought - thinking how back in 2009 when I was in the particular hell that is the bowels of clinical depression
Possible trigger:
Anyway fast forward a bunch of years and here I am doing things like jet boat rides down a river with a bunch of other people I never met before and having SO much fun. I guess I want people to know that there is hope, life can get better, don't give up, it's worth it it's oh so worth it working hard to dig and claw your way out of that black hole and back into life. I am so happy to have made it through all of that and back to life. I really need to remember to practice every day just how grateful I am to have, with t and pdoc's help, found my way back. Here are some beautiful pics from today for inspiration to keep on keepin' on, my friends.

Do you think he maybe tells his male clients about his ED?

(No, I’m not telling you how I know he has ED... )

I notice how you jumped to ED as the male equivalent of menopause.

I was going to go with the more prosaic prostate problem.

As always, I bow to your superior wisdom in all things, including therapists.

The closest current T has come to telling me about anything body related is that she's been coloring her hair blonde (same color as she was born with apparently) since her 30s.

I was flabbergasted.

She, in turn, was flabbergasted that I didn't have a clue that her hair was colored. Or, that I had no idea that most older blondes (or most women from their 30s onwards) with non-grey hair color their hair.

I think I would like to get know about her estrogen production situation though.
Thanks for this!

ED is very definitely a bad thing. Don’t start what you can’t finish.

Oh, and it doesn’t happen to everyone. But you have to say that to stroke their ego in case they get things working again.

ED is funnier. To me, anyway.

If I’m so wise, how come I end up with the loony therapists?

Really the doctor was screaming at me (even tho she was following my brothers advice, not mine). She also started following a kidney diet, and she was pretty good for years after. For all the sausage and bacon she used to eat, im surprised she lasted as long as she did.

There are tons of resources online about the kidney diet.
Yes and I’m stopping them. I think the real culprit is my lasix. My daughter’s cardio said long term use can burn out the kidney.

PCP thinks it may be long term analgesic use. It better not be!

Kidney diet- *makes face*. As it is, I’m on a protein heavy diet for weight loss...which is what the kidney diet wants ppl to avoid. I can’t have too many green vegetables or it messes with Coumadin (and we don’t want a stroke.) Supposed to stay away from carbs for weight loss. Supposed to stay away from cheese, and milk products bc it affects the kidney somehow. Oh, and my cholesterol is too high. There’s nothing left for me to eat! Beans!?

(((PRE))) I remember my mother eating puffed rice, and some bizarre green veggies that you dont often think of. And like jello, i think.

Hmm, i usually take a lasix the day before a dr appt, but maybe this time i will take it two days before, and make sure i drink water day of.
Thanks for this!
