I wish I had a small refrigerator in my room. I don't have another main power socket though, and you shouldn't plug appliances like that into an extension bar.

My household drinks really healthy. We don't even have fruit juice or soda / fizzy drinks in the refrigerator. Only water, milk and soy milk.

I really want to cold brew my own coffee because I LOVE cold brew but everything in the refrigerator is meant to be communal. Unless it's beer, which is only for the men.

Tagging something as mine doesn't mean it'll stay untouched.

Hugs... how many main pocket sockets do you have? Only one?

I’m not gonna repeat that I don’t like your family...

Thank you, pocket folk!

Wasn't expecting to start the session shaking...but there we go. Was a good one, all things considered. R appears to agree that I experienced my first anxiety attack last Friday...

More in IST.

Interrupting my hiatus to wish those who celebrate a happy Thanksgiving. H and I are going over to one of my co-worker's houses for dinner. V was glad to hear that I'm putting myself out there. And hugs to all who want or need.

This morning I went to a yoga class for the first time in *months* (due to an unfortunate combo of crazy work schedule, depression, and my bycicle being stolen) and while it was full of awkward footing and shaky muscles, it was really good to be back

I wish I could master Having an Exercise Routine like some people manage to do, but I just don’t seem to have a knack for it yet. (Also my schedule changes completely every two weeks so that makes routine-establishment hard.)

To all who celebrate, Happy Thanksgiving! My gratitude list is long.

Last night with our friends was great. We didn't play Clue after all, no one could get into it, so we switched to Cards Against Humanity and that was a lot of fun as usual. I think the 4 of us went through 3 bottles of wine...

I got up kinda early this morning and henna'd my hair again, then did a little bit of homework. Going out for a walk now. Later couchies!

Hugs to those who want/need.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate!

I roasted my turkey and baked the side dishes yesterday. Grandson came by to pick those up. I’ll be going to DD’s in a bit. I’m going to bring a few other food items....and going to teach grandson (15y/o) how to make the noodles with the turkey drippings today. Noodles or dumplings for holidays is sort of a family tradition.

Hope you all have a relaxing, happy and peaceful day!
Thanks for this!

I woke up at 3:30 am and couldn't go back to sleep. Ugh. After trying for a few hours to fall asleep, I got up and had what I'm calling breakfast nachos - nachos at 6 am with a side of orange juice. Then an hour or so later I fell asleep. So apparently breakfast nachos are a sleep aid.

I'm not looking forward to the rest of this holiday. For me, it's 4 days. My therapist seemed to understand that this long break was going to be a problem for me. He initially offered to call me today, which I balked at, but he offered Saturday, so I took him up on that. I'm so glad I have him.

I guess this year for me will be a year of lasts. Last Thanksgiving, my husband and I went to San Francisco to visit our friend. It was the trip from hell. Among other things, my husband stayed drunk most of the time, yelled racial slurs at an old man in a diner, upset me so much at our Thanksgiving dinner in a restaurant (by humiliating me verbally) that I cried and my friend made him move so I didn't have to sit next to him, hit me in the head completely unprovoked (I had dozed off), and on the long drive home on the interstate got so drunk he was trying to get out of the car while I was going 70+ mph and kept knocking the car out of gear with his knee. Needless to say, it was not a pleasant trip for me and probably not for our friend either. It took me an entire session to relate the nightmare of this trip to my therapist. I'm glad it's over, but it's still the last Thanksgiving with my husband. There were many other Thanksgivings that were pleasant over the years. I wonder if prisoners get a special meal in prison on holidays?

Anyone who’s into Yalom and also ebooks, “The Gift of Therapy” is on sale on various ebook platforms for $1.99 for the next week.

I have not read Yalom so am not advocating this or him.
Thanks for this!

The exhaustion that accompanies today's session feels deeper than usual. I guess it was a heavy one. It felt good to be understood.

I think you have a nook? Pretty sure it was listed as on sale there, too.

I do have a nook you have a great memory! I also have the Kindle app on my tablet which reminds me I really should tell my brother how much I love my tablet, he bought it for me a couple 3 years ago cuz he knew I'd never buy one for myself. My bro is such a good guy.
