That's OK.

I think one's reactions are one's own. Feelings are not fact. I rarely think that one's response is the responsibility of another. Certainly one may feel whatever one feels, but that in no way means that the other is responsible for that feeling or that the feeling is an accurate way of knowing what the other intended or was doing.
But to each their own.

Thanks, CE.

But y'know, I'm thinking back to how in the past I used to flounce off the couch in a childish huff when presented with other points of view about stuff I'm struggling with. I think I'm doing a lot better in that regard this current go-around. Don't you guys? I did briefly consider a break from PC, but then a wise soul said that was why they didn't stray from the couch, so that's what I'm doing. Taking a break from everything BUT the couch.

This is very true. I guess I just struggle with a couple of things:

1. I don't feel like my woes are comparable to those of others.
2. I don't want to trigger others inadvertently.
3. Mental Illness™

Woes are woes.
Mediocre melon can bring me down. It is not a crisis or a huge deal in the scheme of things, but I still post about it.

But anyway...

I had a medical procedure done last weekend and I have felt miserable ever since. Pain, insomnia, nausea, vomiting.

I had...not a fight with H last weekend, but it was a very emotionally charged discussion that made me feel very hopeless about my progress in therapy. Or prognosis in general.

My dad had an emergency appendectomy yesterday. There were complications; the surgeons had to remove part of his colon. I wanted to fly home to be with him, but I go back to work next week. It's not practical and he told me he didn't want me to.

I'm of the opinion that all melon is mediocre, honestly. I can tolerate watermelon, but would almost rather starve than eat a cantaloupe or honeydew.

I understand that melon pales in comparison to bizarrely flavored cookies and candy.
I think some palates may have actually been damaged.

Hey, I’m an American. I have to make my 150 lbs. of annual sugar consumption.

We discussed me watching a movie tonight to distract from thinking about the events of last July 20th. I can't find anything I'm excited about watching. I guess I'll just have to pick something that looks okay. I don't know if it's going to work or not though. I'm already having distressing thoughts as the time this all started approaches. He also brought up not drinking tonight, but I don't think I can handle that tonight. It'll probably get me all emotional though, so who knows what nonsense I'll end up posting later on.

He's going to call me tomorrow. Probably because I told him

But, then you walk so fast? And, exercise so much?

My tropical brain is fried by these American contradictions.

In my case I walk so fast and exercise so much to accommodate the sugar.

And the exercising is actually very un-American of me, given that in a day I do 4-6 times the amount of exercise an average American does.

I guess I am not a patriot.

Things haven't been all bad, though. I did get a promotion of sorts today. I accepted a paid leadership position for next school year.

I am rambling. I wanted to drink at dinner tonight, but I am not presently allowed to drink. Thank you for not throwing me out for rambling, couch.

Perhaps I'll take a PRN. I just want to be able to sleep.

Those are not trivial woes. In particular, all surgery is serious.
