It depends on whether you’ll have to deal with the sleeping child later. So in this case, the answer is no, so let them sleep!

Perhaps because it's easier in a way- we get a sense of how T will react to it then if their reaction is okay, our brains get the green light to go ahead.

Priceless reply!

Yeah, that's true like the codependent thing as well. I wasn't ready to accept that when L first brought it up 3 years ago or whenever it was. This is why, none of my sessions were 'wasted time' because the time spent in the relationship and working through my transference is what got me here. I should tell her that today. And this is also why I must stop feeling stupid for going back.
And why I will go today despite not wanting to.

Ooooo I quite like that. I've never noticed her hair though to be honest. It's odd they're one up with the number of seasons. Maybe her hair is trying to tell us something, or maybe it's just hair xD

I'm waiting impatiently for the new season- I need something to binge watch. My brain has given up on studying more than 4 hours a day.
Thanks for this!

Artie instead of the word must- perhaps "could stop" would be better. I think you're too hard on yourself. You've made fantastic progress.

Maybe wasted time was just meant like in one of those movies where the two leads know they love each other, but don't get together until right at the end. It's obvious they're supposed to be together, but the timing isn't right. It can be frustrating to watch, but you can't speed it up. All the stuff in between has to be there in order for it to pay off at the end.
Thanks for this!

Guess what! H didn't go to the hospital yesterday even though he wanted to. We're making progress! I got another T lined up for him next Friday.

Pdoc upped my meds and gave me more.

That is progress!

It's the same thing as needing to take medication for diabetes or high blood pressure.

Everyone here is in therapy?

I find it hard to find a therapist/psychologist that can help me somewhat and knows what to say. Because I don't know what to say to a therapist.

But maybe that's because I'm doing good now
Thanks for this!

Better a doorknob reveal than no reveal at all.

Quite right. If you get there in the end, every step was worth it.

Kinda! I keep a fairly close eye on it. Like "OK, still have 40 minutes left." "Now about at the halfway point, so...if I want to bring something major up, should probably get to it now." "Hm, 20 minutes left, better get to it!" "Ugh, only 10, maybe closer 15 if I push it and schedule/pay quickly, left..." "A minute left, does he realize that?" (I'm sometimes the one to be like, "OK, I guess we have to stop, right?" And he'll be surprised when he looks at the time sometimes.) I think I got used to this with ex-T, who was very exacting in session length. With ex-MC, it was hard to say how long he'd let the session run, so I watched the clock some and would be like, "I know we have to stop soon, but..." and he'd say we still had time.

HI FRIENDS. I MISS YOU ALL.

Day #6, and its the first day I didn't have a panic attack. Progress. It is a good group of 5 people once someone who was not engaging whatsoever was kicked out (I do feel bad for that person). We had a sing-a-long a little while ago to Seal's "I believe I can fly" that was hysterical.

It is still difficult, and it is REALLY hard to accept CBT and DBT in order to help me, but I am trying to keep an open mind. I am trying Quigong in a little bit. That shall be interesting.

I hope everyone is doing well. I will try and catch up on the couch until group...
