Couch 193: The Aurora Borealis Couch

my T never moved his chair but i swear he moved the client chairs because sometimes when i crossed my legs i almost hit his foot and other timesi didnt. He always swore it wasnt a tactic.

My t moves his chair on days he takes naps in the office. I am not sure why he moves it closer to clients chair, but I always know when the chair is closer. And he is always amazed that I notice it.

I feel like texting the therapist and demanding to know if she moved her chair.

Actual conversation just now.

"Kid, it's past your bedtime."

"But mom! I'm in the middle of a really pivotal chapter!"

I left the light on. Sigh.

It was the right thing to do.

I could probably drive over to the therapist's office and shine a light in through the window to confirm my suspicions. But she may lower the blinds all the way down and shut them before she leaves, and I'm not willing to risk it.

Besides, the dogs want me to stay with them, and I wouldn't want to disappoint.

Well, spent the evening at a bar crashing my step sons little beer buddy party. The wings were good and now all my friends want to know what happened that Ibwas at a bar. It was fun just sitting there, ignoring him and his possy, and making him insanely uncomfortable until the whole crew left. I need to take up pool again... the guys there suck and I don’t drink but the wings are about the same price as a good drink or two... free dinner!

Speaking of pranks, C played a mean/good one on me the other day. See, she likes podcasts. I sometimes listen to a couple, like Casefile. Anyway, she sent me an email that there was a podcast episode she really thought I'd get something out of. The podcast was Other People's Problems. The episode is irrelevant. She KNEW I would fly into a rage listening to that therapist.

I'm pretty sure she's a psychopath (the therapist). Is anyone familiar with this podcast?

Anyway, she got me pretty good with that one. I suffered through 10 whole minutes before it dawned on me that the episode wasn't even the least bit relevant to me and that there's no way any one who knows me would have recommended something like that.

I find that therapist’s website annoying enough. (“I like to conduct research that is meaningful.” ) I’ll skip the podcast.

C wrote a post on one of the therapy subreddits about her and compared how she sounds to a porn star.

L was good tonight. I wish sessions were longer. I shared with her the card my T sent me. And we talked about T's use of the word "was". The word still upsets me, but that's just my "emotional brain". She told me that this week to work on "riding the waves" of grief.

The black hole looks exactly what 95% of the scientists in the community thought it'd look like you see the middle part where the actual singularity is, and then the outer ring which is dust that gets lit up by... I don't remember anymore, it's been years xD
