I just got myself in gear enough to send my story off again after the last rejection two days ago. After I sent it, I realized it was to the journal that two years ago rejected another story of mine (that was published elsewhere) within 5 hours.

At least I’ll get a quick response.

It's okay. There is no set rule that says you have to be in therapy. There's lots of other alternatives.

I came back from the office. She said to just send an email to her which I did whilst I was still in the hospital. She didn't make me write anything else. It's not on the system yet though.

Watching you've got mail.

“The whole purpose of places like Starbucks is for people with no decision-making ability whatsoever to make six decisions just to buy one cup of coffee. Short, tall, light, dark, caf, decaf, low-fat, non-fat, etc. So people who don't know what the hell they're doing or who on earth they are can, for only $2.95, get not just a cup of coffee but an absolutely defining sense of self: Tall. Decaf. Cappuccino."

Oh that was funny. I'm sitting here tired getting ready to start work so looked for the 'yawn' emoji and once I found it, and saw it yawn, it made me yawn again! haha!

Happy Monday, couchies. Happy, glittery sparkles and hugs to those who want.

I didn't even know this one existed.

Hope you have an easy shift. When you're done could you bake us some brownies please?

Possible trigger:

Debating about texting T to let her know but I don't have any plans, just thoughts. So that seems like a waste. Ugh. I don't know.

I always find that still a hard place to be in.

I don't think it would be a waste to message her.

Could you also message those two support contacts from church?

Are you at work or at home?

I'm at work.

Maybe I will message my support people first and see if they will be helpful for me. If not I can always text T later. I kind of forgot about my support people even though I texted them a few days ago (things were going well then). I get like tunnel vision where I forget my safety plan. Thanks Lemon

I've seen some people on youtube also make crisis boxes and it could be helpful to have a reminder list. Here's a link for what you could include.

Creating A Crisis Box: A Mental Health Coping Tool | Life in a Break Down

How much longer till you can go home?

Do you also let your parents know when you're not well?

Thanks Lemon.

I can go home in 3.5 hours. I texted two of my support people and they both texted me back right away. So it's helpful to know I'm not alone in this. Yeah, I will call my parents on my lunch break which is coming up in a few minutes and let them know I'm feeling unwell. If the weather holds I will plan to take a walk with my Mom when I get home. Being out in nature might be soothing.

I'm glad they got back to you quickly. Do you still think you'll contact T as well?

Good idea with the walk- it's important not to physically be alone.

What else have you found helpful in the past?

I don't know yet if I will contact T. I'm going to give it a few hours and see if the feelings subside.

I'm going to look at pictures of my cats. They remind me that I'm needed (and wanted). Then I might read some scripture and maybe send a couple emails to friends. Depends what I have to do for work. When I get home I need to get my taxes ready to be prepared so that will give me something to focus on and I might watch a Vera episode. I like those. Get my blanket and curl up in the LazyBoy and let my mind be distracted.
