Na, in the USA it seems to really depends on how bad it is and where in the USA. I checked out reddit's r/dentistry and there's several in-between options.

Here in my country, there's only local, regional and general anesthesia.

I feel terrible even when I'm not freaking out because all my friends are busy with work and can't accompany me home. I mean I can take a taxi but I guess I feel lonely.

QM I had one wisdom tooth removed. It took 9 days for the pain to go away, then the stitches were taken out 10 days later. I was given antibiotics and took regular 400mg of ibuprofen. I've been recommend to get the other one removed too, but haven't done so yet as it doesn't have any real issue and I don't want to deal with the pain + exams.

Would it be possible to just get one done or two done at a time? It would be much easier with eating afterwards too.

I've been working really hard to turn around my attitude this morning. I woke up with my shoulder just aching, had to have h help me get dressed it was so bad, then logged into work to find out that I have to start at 5am for the next 4 days on chat (thankfully not today!) so I was all feeling sorry for myself and wanting to cry. I took 2 advil and told myself to stop it, reminded myself that those things are so minor, so I have been doing my best to think about the good stuff instead. Like, starting at 5 means I'm off work at 2pm! And, we have our family zoom call today so I get to "see" my siblings and my son. And, I will see L on Friday. Sometimes it's easier than others to talk myself into a better mood. Not so easy today! But I will get there!

I have to also remember that this pandemic going on for a year, makes everything else feel worse than it is. Or something. Perspective, yeah, that's what I need.

Hugs to all who want. Break is over, time to go back to work.

Happy are ok. I like ambiguous endings. Like it go either way. Most of my favorite movies or tv shows have endings that are unclear and somewhat unsettling.

Ha yeah opera and ballet (I am more of a ballet person) are different because for me plot doesn’t matter as much as just a performance. I saw some performances that I wasn’t really sure of the plot and didn’t know half the time what was happening. Although for some people I think it matters. My daughter and I overheard this dude complaining to his wife after Coppelia -“what a stupid story”. I guess he wanted to watch classic ballet for the story? Ha

I don't like to dust. And those things creep the beJesus out of me. I don't think they are happy at all. Not to mention way too religious for me. I don't think of religion as happy/witty. I am more of the happy/witty like Dr. Strangelove or Heathers or Philomena Cunk and sometimes (although this can be stressful) Kim Possible. I am a big fan of mockumentaries.

Yep! Of course, when I first watched it during its original run, I wasn't thinking that... There was a similar series on there, too, that I don't think they rerun, where like half the people died. Oh...I think that was maybe called "Life or Death," which, yes, clue!

My mom's PCP contacted her...she now has her first vaccine shot tomorrow.

ETA: I was also craving pie earlier, and then I realized it's Pi Day! Since I was out for my afternoon walk anyway, I just adjusted my route to pass by Whole Foods to get a gf apple pie.

I thought i would try one of those sleep videos like the rain ones but as i was searching i saw ones for singing bowls and i quite like the soind of singing bowls. I didnt know that they were crystal singing bowls not the metal ones i found the sound not very pleasant but it thought it might be an acquired thing so i kept listening and i had the most bizarre dreams like the ones i used to have when i was younger and i woke up several times. I think i will stick to the rain ones from now on.

Glad your mom is getting it. It was a relief when my dad got his - more so than me getting it.

It made my anxiety worse when I took it (and some other psychological issues), but don't think it caused nightmares. I want to say it acts on dopamine, but unsure if I'm thinking of the right med. Not sure if that's involved in dreams or not.

Sorry it's giving you nightmares--I'd definitely share that with your p-doc.

I didn’t have nightmares when I was on it, but I was told to take it first thing in the morning to avoid it disturbing my sleep.

ETA: reading a noir book with an ex-therapist as the narrator. Quote: “I asked the obvious question, which is mostly what therapists do.” No kidding.

ETAA: a few pages later, he explains why he quit being a therapist: “It's too easy once you learn the tricks.”

I did consider just the bottom 2 first, but then that means a long wait time for the other 2 because I'm in public health care.

And I only have like 3 months government financial aid, and would have to reapply with much more stringent requirements like a psychiatrist certifying I'm temporarily disabled.

The financial aid doesn't give money but the cash copay of every procedure during the time frame gets covered.

Getting that 3 months was really upsetting because I had to answer invasive questions like why my parents and siblings can't help me why I can't work, what caused my ptsd.

So yea, I felt it would be best to have all 4 out at one go. I can definitely get ibuprofen and I've been told they will give me antibiotics.

I texted my exTs wife just out of curiosity to see if there was a problem with seeing me. I am just curious to see if she would consider seeing me but i read her website and she is the woman i grunted at when she said Hello to me on a day i wasnt feeling well and was a bit dissociative so i am not really sure this happened or if i imagined it. Anyway her website threw up a few things i was uncomfortable with. Also i dont know how ethical this is.
