It would not bother me if my partner said that sort of thing - my person would say it about some things and I would say it about her sometimes - mostly because I know I really would not have been able to make her do or not do anything she was really opposed to and vice versa. I didn't mind being cast as the old ball and chain in furtherance of dodging. No one who knew us would have taken it all that seriously

I like the female cast of Ghostbusters better than the original version

And said to you that he'd like to return to in-person, but (in a sort of joking tone), he doesn't want to ruin his home life?

Note: This question isn't so much about his waiting for his wife, but about the presentation/choice of words. Just curious!
My first take is that it might feel like a her or you choice. Could this be a trigger for the ole transference thing?

Thanks, Lemon. That's part of what I'm trying to figure out. Intellectually, of course his family has to come first. But feelings aren't intellectual...

I'd probably not be too affected personally by the choice of words. I have been around men more than women my whole life and it just sounds like one of those guys jokes. I'd be affected in general if my T talked to that extend about his wife though. I don't deal well with him disclosing much about his family life in general, but he's learned that for the most part it seems.

The vegetable drawer isnt as big as it seemed in the store once you put stuff in it, but the rest of the fridge is bigger and now i wont have to go shopping 3-4 times a week. I discovered last week i could hve got a community loan for $1500 and could have bought an even bigger fridge. Oh well when my daughter leaves it will be plenty big enough. If she leaves....

Surgery went well. Quickly realising I need to figure out what are high calorie liquid food because I drank a ton of soup and ate yoghurt but I'm really hungry. And I cannot afford to lose anymore weight, I'm underweight already.

Glad the surgery went well! Do you have protein shakes like Ensure there? Though I think you may have said you can't eat dairy anymore. You should be able to find some version of a protein drink or smoothie that's dairy free. The protein would make you feel more full.

Oh good idea! We've Ensure Plus and some other kinds. Also going to look into instant mashed potatoes, msshed bananas, types of small pasta (which I'll deliberately overcook). Suggestions from reddit since I have to eat liquid/soft diet for a week as I had all 4 teeth out.

It's silly but feeling weak from hunger makes me scared and cranky.

Omg, thank you! I'll definitely try the suggestions out!

Also reminding myself yet again that I don't live with my parents anymore and no one will berate me for blending food even if it looks gross.

My local supermarket also sells meal replacement drinks. They have 300-400kcl each + there's also protein shakes if you don;t feel up to cooking.

If you're not too hung up on high calorie liquid food that's good for you...I usually get milkshakes after dental surgery.

Ooh, I'll do that. Just have to get suitable fruits to blend. I'm also looking into Ensure and related stuff.

I so much rather deal with pain than hunger.

I'll check! Local friends suggested pharmacies but no harm checking the supermarket since I'm headed there anyway.

Pharmacies will also usually have them too- our one did and it was this brand:

Complan | Meal Replacement | Chemist Direct

Navajo rabbit...getting a new external hard drive and backing files up to it shouldn't be this hard. It's taken me half an hour to get to the point of the backup actually running.

I've been fending off a panic attack for the last hour.

I haven't had a full-blown panic attack since high school, but I had an appt with T that was supposed to be about this paper he's writing about my case (he wanted me to read it to ensure that I felt my identity was fully protected) but then of course he couldn't stop himself from talking about our recent rupture about boundaries and just ugh.

I'm sorry, chihiro.

I have more to say, but I don't think it would help, so I'll leave it at that. I hope he gets himself together soon, and starts being your therapist, rather than anything else.
