If this was a therapy clinic, I don't know why he wouldn't acknowledge you. I assume you weren't there with someone else. I would be pretty upset if I wasn't acknowledged at all. Hell, I saw my therapist in public once. He saw me but I hadn't noticed him until I saw him doing a big arm wave at me. He smiled, I smiled, we said hi and I went on my way. I remember this fondly because he seemed genuinely happy to see me out in public.

I imagine it must be really hard to see him in that setting though. I'd probably feel the same way.
Thanks for this!

I agree it's odd he wouldn't acknowledge a former client in the clinic setting. When I was seeing ex-T and ex-MC at the same office, they'd acknowledge me if they saw me in the waiting room while I was there to see the other (or the p-doc I saw there for a while). And ex-T said hi to me there once even after I stopped seeing her. Also, R has said hi to me in the waiting room when I've been there to see Dr. T.

Dr. T has said that he won't initiate contact with a client if he sees them in public, for privacy reasons, but if they say hi or wave to him, he'll say hi back.

That does sound nice, your experience with seeing P in public, NP.
Thanks for this!

Thanks, LT. I'm doing okay. I think the hospital reminded me how precious my loved ones are and that I need to stay with them as long as possible. And H getting a job so fast means I don't have to fear going homeless (I was homeless at 18 so it's a huge fear of mine). Now I have to get through taxes, our court case, and L's maternity leave. But at least I have a home!

H talked to a lawyer about our court case and he said there might not even be a case because it was during covid and we did try paying them, but they rejected it. (We owe back rent).

How are you doing, LT? I hope things are well with Dr. T and your daughter.

Interesting. I felt okay about his not acknowledging me. It was in the therapy office, but there were other people around, it wasn’t exactly private. Moreover, I did reach out to him after our final session last month regarding some paperwork needs I had. I asked him to not reply to the email, because it was excruciating to have to reach out to him, and seeing his name in my inbox would be painful. He honored that request. He understood that I needed and wanted no contact, a clean break, so his not acknowledging me when seeing me yesterday is consistent with honoring those wishes. For me, it would have felt terrible and painful if he had acknowledged me.

Can someone please tell me to get some rest?

I got some awful news today ( I am OK) and I don't know how to deal.

Regular cheez-its? Or one of the fancier varieties? I’m a fan of the extra toasty kind.

Yeah, sort of like “what can I do with what I found under the couch cushions”?

But it’s definitely innovative and outside the box.

I’m told by colleagues that Cheezits pair well with white wine.

Mint and cheese don't sound immediately appealing -but to each their own

I'm glad you're feeling good after going to the salon.

Darn I got excited at the thought of seeing what the real you looked like.

I am seeing mint added to more recipes, like pasta, and of course chocolate goes with anything. Its the international no i would say universal condiment. Vger-approved.

I would not go that far- mint is an herb and I would not consider chocolate a condiment. But I am not all that much of a chocolate fan in general.

But apparently minty cheese is a thing:
Rosemary Mint Cheddar | Artisan Cheese | Gold Creek Farms
goat cheese with mint & cumin
Chocolate Mint Cheese - made "in haus" — Frankenmuth Cheese Haus

Some people say to use meat as a condiment. I am simply proposing chocolate as the vegetarian equivalent.

This haircut REALLY emphasizes my straight sided head. I like that it cancels the amorphous blob look. So - Max Headroom?
