Oh I see yeah maybe they have to be like part of a hospital or clinic to do that---I'm just always seeing hospital docs so its usually an option.

If I can get a ride to the doctors office. I don't drive and my mom and stepdad both work. I've talked to my ex boyfriend about it (in more detail) and he thinks I should go to the hospital.

Yeah you can actually get a severe withdrawal syndrome from quitting an AD and you can actually get worse psychosis from quitting an AP so its not something to do lightly that's why I consider your pdoc totally unethical for not giving you a script refill over the phone...but yeah the hospital is a good idea you may actually need to be stabilized at this point...

I'm having some fun paranoia. I don't want to type it here.... I'm feeling monitored.... but... and just now I had it all typed up but I deleted it. As soon as I deleted it ALL of the phones in our office rang once all at the same time..... so... yeah..... not sure if it's me or not. I'm alone here right now.

Does anyone know of any APs that don't cause weight gain? I'm on Seroquel right now, and I'm at least 5 lbs heavier than I was before my eating disorder relapsed. Apparently it increases appetite. The voices are telling me that the docs and my mom are f**king with me and that I shouldn't take them.

I've been on Abilify, which worked sort of but I still had breakthrough psychosis on high doses, and I was on thorazine but that caused... awkward side effects (galactorrhea) and because Risperdal causes that too, that's out.

I don't see my new doctor until the 20th, and I don't know if I can wait that long...

I don't think your mom or doc are messing with you, blackwhitered. I think it's just a side effect. My MIL is on seroquill and it makes her sleep like crazy.

hugs all around Seems like a bad day.

I'm too stressed out. It's really effecting me. I'm also having 0 motivation right now.

Yeah. I tend to get more symptoms while I'm on my period. I think it's pretty common.

Please sign this petition.

It tells the White House to tell Medicare not to eliminate antipsychotics and antidepressants from Medicare Part D Prescription plan. Medicare's argument is that it will save money if they eliminate these class of drugs. I disagree. I think you'll see more people in crisis and ending up in the hospital and all healthcare, not just Medicare, will skyrocket if we eliminate AP's and AD's.

Please sign this petition.

I take seroquel xr and it does not cause weight gain in me. Are you on xr. I have found xr to be fine. Are you doing any exercise , you will most likely gain weight on these meds unless you do a bit every day. Do you walk out 30mins every day?

Im 6ft 1 and 12.8 stone.

I have always had a good metabolism , from my father and this ap has not effected it.

Nope, not alone Newtus. I've never noticed a connection between my symptoms and my periods either. And yeah, cramps suck!

Hmm, I don't get cramps when I'm on my period (I use to back in middle school). I get bloated but that's about it. Since I started birth control my flow has gotten heavier (which is the opposite of what it's suppose to do). Now that I'm not on it I've missed my period. It's very unlikely that I'm pregnant. Ha, not sure what I'm going with this.

I don't get PMS at all, but at first my doctors thought I had menstrual psychosis because I would come back to the hospital after about a month. It turned out that was just because that's how long it took for the Abilify to stop working... If they had just asked me directly, I could have told them that my episodes didn't actually correlate with my periods, but god forbid doctors actually COMMUNICATE with their patients...

I think I am on XR...

The thing is, I didn't need to exercise before to keep my weight down (I only used exercise to lose weight because of my ED, not to maintain it). I normally have a fast metabolism. I talked to a social worker yesterday, and he said that Seroquel can increase appetite, which is probably what's happening...

I've been begging my mom to get a gym membership as a late birthday present since she didn't get me anything, but she won't do it.

I'm 5'8 and am heading toward 130 lbs. I weighed 105 in November before going to the hospital.

Maybe your mother fears you'd slip into your ED ways by giving you a gym membership.
