Oh wow. Those are good! Very talented!
I always wanted to learn to draw the human body. I tried but it just is not my gift. Wire sculpting is easier for me.

I love the beauty of the human body.
Nudes are my favorite whether oil, water color, pencil, Roman sculptures....
NOT in some erotic way, just the beauty. So natural.

Same here. When I was taking my art class we had an older model pose for us while we draw pictures for a certain amount of time. I was however disappointed that he wasn't fully nude. Not because I wanted to get off of some old man but give me an opportunity to draw the full male natural body. I have a habit of drawing males either too buff or too feminine.

Exactly. A nude should be nude. Young or old. Its still beautiful. Actually, there is something about an elderly woman drawn in the nude that is almost sacred. Wisdom is just bare and raw honesty of life.

So true. Makes me wish cloths were optional. We should totally join a nudest colony. We'd have more people there willing to be models for art.

My mom's been trying to get me to draw portraits of folks and they would pay me but I lack motivation to do it. She also wants me to draw my little sister which is cool and everything but I just haven't felt like drawing.

Thanks...I've never tried...my sister is way better than me and more familiar with the scene here she actually started going to school for art...Chicago itself is pretty high powered and so is the suburb I live in there is actually an arts district and everything so it's a little over my head but I might be able to sell something through the art league or something though because those are often less experienced artists and they put together a show every now and then with like one piece of everybodies work. I've always thought about it...

You have a talent for portraits.

All this winter I was supposed to be making inventory for this upcoming season but was so depressed I just sat on the couch for weeks and didn't go anywhere waiting for motivation to start doing my work it was very hard because I didn't feel like doing it and didn't have any urge.

Finally I got so fed up with myself, that I just got up and went and sat at my desk and began to do my work and that's when the inspiration begins. A ton of ideas.

Sometimes, not all the time, if I force myself to just do it , I get motivated and start banging out awesome pieces of art. Of course I become manic and get in the zone and do it for hours and days but I feel very accomplished.

So my point is just began to do it and see what happens. Maybe once you start drawing you'll get excited like I do and just start doing it!
I find that pushing myself once in awhile is all it really takes.

Don't let that talent go to waste!

Oh my gosh you don't have to go to art school to be a good artist!

You just lack confidence. Don't compare your artwork to anyone else. That's a big no no.

Look around and see if there is an artisins Guild in your area. It is a shop for local artists where you display your artwork for sale or you could also rent a space at an art show during the summer months. craft fairs are also a good idea as long as you don't price your paintings too high.

Once you sell a few paintings you'll realize that you're not as bad as you think you are! and no its not over your head.

heres my poem on psychosis

Quote:
Psychosis

Self-induced loneliness,
The hell-crazed jail of happiness,
Silence is a beautiful thing,
If restored in peace.

The day or two I slept, I felt ill,
I felt so ill.

Blood is only soothing
in the first few seconds it is warm.
My deep, dark secrets of loving death
eats me up like the lonely subject itself.
Secrets forbid me from society,
Because in this day and age
we couldn't be more open could we?

I feel as ill now, as I did then.
Nothing good comes from this,
but not always bad, either.
