I've been to some good hospitals... You're basically in good hospitals you're doing therapy all day. It gets boring after a while. I spent 2 weeks in a good one. I had a hard time staying up through all that.

I finally have a dentist appointment on the 9th. Now to have the dentist shame me for how bad I neglected my teeth.

I have 1 therapy every 3 weeks and nothing has happened for me to talk about---I don't even remember what the homework was. I can't imagine having it all day like that....

we did different things such as cbt and dbt. There was other types of therapy like art therapy and pet therapy where they had a dog come and visit but that wasn't every day like cbt and dbt.

Lol we were given treats and we sat in a circle and shown how to get the dog to do tricks and then give the treat to the dog. We got to pet it too. Honestly I found art therapy to be the most fun.

I got to do art once in my 5 day stay---it was considered occupational therapy---my eyes were probably huge they had the best craft cabinet I'd ever seen---feather's shells leather etc. I mad sort of a wand/shaman staff that had all that plus butterflies---they wouldn't let me keep it for some reason. I still partially believe it was because it was truly magical and needed to stay there to work.

We also had music therapy for like an hour we got to pick 1 song off of cassettes and that was it for the whole week----I so love itunes etc after that----

Hi everyone. I'm still freaking out over having to call for my prescriptions but I have to. If I don't there may not be time to make an appointment at the clinic if necessary. I'm so afraid.

You have to pay for interlibrary loan?-----maybe its a perk of where I work but that's usually free until a certain too high number of requests have been made. London would be cool I think especially for free----I think I'm a little jealous

Occupational therapy is what they called it. Didn't remember what they called it so I just said art therapy. When they open a cabinet with art supplies I ended up making a lot of paper cranes. I taught a couple of people how to make them. I ended up making a bunch for some lady's daughters birthday.
Thanks for this!

thats exactly what i was saying/thinking. ive only been to 1 hospital that was pretty nice but its hella expensive.

the whole thing of them doing that actually sorta makes me mad.

i mean i saw this girl post saying "i was having anxiety so i went to the hospital". basically. and it just pissed me off. she wasnt a teen and prob was in her late 20s or early 30s. so i have no idea. but that sort of crap pisses me off.

I don't think I do we use something called archer that's connected to our email and everything else on campus----for us though most research is available 6 months post publication anyway due to a funding deal with the NIH we have to make our work freely available in that time frame. A lot of europeans in the field have gone to open access journals as well. So it's not as much of an issue although I admit it's a luxury to have the access....

I have no idea how they afford it---if I need a vacation a stay at the hilton downtown would be far more economical even after insurance----

I wonder if it's so they are around people like themselves. Maybe they're lonely?

I'd go back in if I could without making some excuse. I could get off cigarettes again and eat well for a week!

I can see why homeless folks would want a meal and a place to stay for a week or so.
Thanks for this!

Yes, sadly. I hope I never am in that situation but I'm almost homeless where I'm at. No clutter free areas - I hate my life!

Medieval studies, primarily thirteenth and fourteenth century England. I dont lecture any more and only publish on my website, Medieval Studies. My stay in london is for coaching american football though, not medieval studies!
Thanks for this!
