It's all just biotin and folic acid with random other vitamins. Biotin is another vitamin you can try. Like I said, don't get the kind that says its for hair and nails. Go to the normal vitamin section and you'll find it there for way cheaper. Like a box of the "special" stuff is $12 for 30 days but I can buy the same thing for $3 in the vitamin section and it'll last me 90 days.
Noted, thank you so much A I hope you don't mind I called you A for now, I am too dizzy to focus atm

Well, it wouldn't be my place without a great and cheesy Vincent Price movie to groove to. Lol. Now I'm watching Naked and Afraid.

Well, this lists the side effects of withdrawing from Depakote...

Depakote (Valproic Acid) Withdrawal Symptoms + How Long They Last

It does say it can cause seizures in those with epilepsy if stopped without tapering right.

I guess a med that prevents seizures, makes sense that when that protection goes you might be more prone.

Does seem odd if you don't have a history of seizures though. Some other psych meds can increase the risk of seizures though, so it could be a combination of withdrawal & another med.

I would say it is worth follow up with your doctor soon though... you shouldn't be getting seizures.

How do you guys know you're having seizures? I'm curious, obviously if there's someone around they could tell you but if you're on your own I don't know how you'd know. Also if that someone witnesses you having a seizure and you don't have epilepsy they should probably call an ambulance.
Thanks for this!

After I have one, I usually have a headache and my memory is super spotty for the next 4-6+ hours. The most obvious times is when I've scraped my back going down or something.

Are they always seizures though? I mean it could be just a faint. I faint all the time and have had two seizures. Both times I had seizures (they were years apart) I had to go to the hospital and get an EEG. I wouldn't have known I had a seizure if I was on my own. But that's just my own experience. Same black out as a faint.

I know there are different types of seizures so I could be talking out of my arse here but from what I know it can be very serious if you're not already diagnosed with epilepsy.

I had a seizure while in the ICU on dialysis from Lithium Toxicity. I also had started getting them when I stopped depakote suddenly. I don't have epilepsy.

Thank you so much loial. I think I misunderstood the word seizure, now that I've read your link I think mine more like tremors. Unless epilepsy is genetic? Because my dad used to have it. I am still confused and cannot focus well. It was a sudden off because the pharmacy was changing their distributor and they needed time to get the depakote. It is here now tonight thankfully so I'll be taking it normally again

I'm a little nervous, they put my diagnosis down as having an anxiety disorder and depression disorder even though I was diagnosed by several people as Schizoaffective, its supposed to be just temporary until I meet with the doctor and they do a full intake with me. I just am worried about SSI, they might see that and me moving into my own apartment as meaning I don't need it anymore....... They have me on the same meds though, Invega shot, depakote, paxil, seroquel and hydroxyzine.

Hi everyone, I have been off the forum for a couple of months due to my SZA and paranoia being really bad. Just thought I would check in here since I came back up to read. I try to view this forum as a necessary part of my recovery plan, being a type of peer support. I will try to catch up and see how everyone is doing. I wish I could say I am doing better, but I am worse. I cannot even open my window blinds without feeling incredibly paranoid. My disability is now approved through January 15, so that's one less thing to worry about for a while.
