Do you know in which ways you could get an improvement in how you feel? Sometimes it's relatively easy with a med change. Have they tried Risperdal or invega on you yet?

What kind of parents let their kids out in the middle of the night to laugh and scream and make loud noises with their motorcycles in front of others people house?! They are not even 15 I guess (best I could guessed by peeking from my window). I accidentally bit my lips when they interrupted my sleep with that noise, it's bleeding now and good bye sleep early

I'm actually on the Invega shots now. Was on the pill but it didn't seem to be helping so I am now on the shots. Risperdal didn't help me either. I've not tried all antipsychotics but the more I try invega the more I want to go back on zyprexa even though the sleeping was ridiculous.

Erti, have your doctors put you on mood stabilizers?

Never been on a mood stabilizer. Mainly antipsychotics and antidepressants.

What is it about invega that you don't like? I lose control of my jaws and they snap closed, like I'm going to bite off my tongue. That's my worst side effect so far. But something is causing this horrible dementia and I don't know what.

Zyprexa was good, after the side effects wore off, but I gained 60 pounds over three months time on it.

A few things really. I like invega because I don't get very many physical symptoms.... Though I feel scared. I'm constantly feeling like someone is out to get me. I no one believes me when I tell them things. My friend is telling me I'm in a delusion.

The invega should be helping more with the paranoia but it needs time to kick in. Sometimes, probably often, people really are giving us a hard time. Not friends, though. Other people, like neighbors you are not friendly with, and acquaintances. The doctors just see symptoms, when it's real life for some of us.
Thanks for this!

I've been on Invega for a couple of months. Only recently started taking the shots instead of the pill. They were going to take my invega from 9mg to 12mg and I opted for the shot instead. I talked to the nurse that gives me the shot. He says it's the illness and medication can only do so much but I liked him because he joked around about my last name, said it was awesome, and asked if I was related to the comedian Chris Farley.

People do give us a hard time. Some you just cannot trust and even with love ones it's hard to trust. My mom always told me to trust no one but myself and then others tell me that I cannot trust myself because it's the illness which at times I don't believe I have. My friend says I have to trust someone because trusting no one isn't the answer. He says people out there want to and have the ability to help me which I don't believe. I'm trying to help myself... I really am.

It's okay. I trust a lot of people, when I think about it. I trust my pdoc, I trust my friend of course, and not sure who else. But I get in so many bad situations, it has to be because I trusted someone I shouldn't have.

Oh, just want to add that cogentin has a calming effect on me. It helps with my anxiety.

One bad thing about cogentin is if you are on a higher dose you will have blurry vision if you try to read.

I've been hurt by those that I love and had trusted too. Hell, I've been hurt by myself. I trust my friend though in certain ways. Even as much as I told him about how I am feeling and worries... I don't tell him everything because I don't want him thinking less of me.

Lmao... I already have vision problems. xD Though, I've yet to put my glasses on today. I'm nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other. Pretty interesting.

Hey everyone. Brought one of my dogs for his shots today. Went well. He's such a good dog. My husband is taking number 3 in for his. He doesn't like people or other dogs so I'm not going to chance bringing him myself. Spending the rest of my day hanging out. We get take out on Saturdays so I don't have to cook. Yay!
I'm feeling pretty good. I love Latuda but my insurance company denied it again so I'll be switching to something else. I refuse to go back on zyprexa I'm having a hard time getting off this weight. I guess it's a gamble no matter what you take. My pnp is leaving the practice but she gave me the info for where she's going so I'm going to follow her. The only down side is that I have to switch to one of their pcps. Luckily I don't love my current doc.

Me too. My friend knows me better than every other person I know and he has never used it against me. But relatives have, and neighbors and acquaintances have.

I have to say, having one of these illnesses we really learn a lot we'd never have known about a lot of people, by how they treat us. It seems to me that any sort of faith in a higher power is necessary just to get through our daily lives. Without it, life is just way too hard.

My eye problems aren't severe. Do you wear glasses? I think my glasses make me look cute :3 I think glasses makes people look good. However I have trouble remembering to wear mine because I not use to having them.

Funny because I got my first complete vision test a few months ago. Mom said it made sense that I have vision problems because one time I punched her in the face without meaning to while doing a workout video with her one time.

Yes, i do need lenses. They only correct for one eye because there's so much difference between my eyes' sight. I'm due to get there, everything's so crazy in my life now. But I need them to weigh in about the cataracts and the retinas health.
