I'm doing well as can be expected. The Alkies behind my backyard ate still going strong for Canada Day celebrating, so I'm up still.

Morning all,

Got my cleaning done! (well the part I was intending to do yesterday... just got my bathroom left & my flat is all done!)

Surprising how good a workout a thorough clean is! All the more excuse to veg on the sofa this afternoon now.

You should try some Rooibos (Red Bush) tea. It's naturally caffeine free & has much lower levels of tannin as well as having all the usual antioxidant benefits & more.

I usually have mine with a tiny splash of milk although lemon works too.

Funny because I got my first complete vision test a few months ago. Mom said it made sense that I have vision problems because one time I punched her in the face without meaning to while doing a workout video with her one time.
I couldn't help laughing at that last part. That's terrible but sort of funny. The sort of thing you'd see on a sitcom.

I've been wearing glasses for a few months now. It's a small prescription but I just wear them all the time.

To be honest, occasionally I'll forget to put them back on after my shower or something but within 30 mins or so... I'll notice because of the eye strain.

Hey

Not too bad. Quite tired now for some reason... guess I've done a fair bit today.

Was just dawning on me that it's just under 2 months until I start college. Kind of scary but good too!

How are you?

How are you?

Sounds like you've had a productive day
What are you going to study at college?
I'm good thank you, struggling with my weight atm but I'm on a healthy eating mission combined with running to try and lose the half a stone I've gained, so hopefully it will pay off. There's too many delicious temptations!
Thanks for this!

I'm doing a 1 year computing course focusing on tech support. Can progress onto the advanced courses if I enjoy it/want to. Very practical which I think will be great compared to all the reading/studying/writing I'm used to.

Sorry you are struggling a bit with your weight but you seem to have the right idea which is a half the battle. The most important thing isn't doing anything drastic, but just being consistent. (never got the consistency part down with exercise myself...)

Keep at it... and you will get there eventually!

Hey everyone. Having a good day so far. I'm a little stressed because my old dog seems to be having trouble jumping on the couch . I'm hoping it's just a one day thing but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried.
Not too much going on today. Just cleaning and hanging out with the family.

If it's not a one day thing maybe it's time to make a vet trip. He might be in pain that makes it hard for him to jump

I'm about to. I'm so upset. My niece and nephew are coming suddenly today and I'm not mentally able to hold myself together. It's going to be so hard to fake around them.

****ing wasted $80. Kids aren't coming. My sister first refused to come bring my niece and nephew because her girlfriend needed gas money to pick her up. No one has the money. So she is now flat out refusing to go. First she said she was coming but the kids weren't staying (they were supposed to for a month) and going home the next morning. So I asked if I really spent $80 to see them for less than 10 hours and she just said "not my fault". How is it not partially your fault?! She has a job!

Maybe you'll feel better when you see your niece and nephew? I find children crack me up sometimes... Here's a conversation I was having with my niece one time. She's 5 years old. She told me she likes to slam her head into walls. I tell her she shouldn't do it... then she says but aunt Jess it's fun.
