I took a long time to fall asleep last night. I wonder if it was because I exercised and used sauna and steam room too close to bedtime (I do not have other time slots for them). But then I had almost an hour of deep sleep which for me is high, and it happened over more periods of deep sleep than usually is the case. Maybe heat is having a positive effect?

today was my day skipping the amphetamine. This morning I woke up at 9:28AM, got up at about 9:40 AM and thought that I would not need a nap. I was wrong. I need a nap although not desperately. So I will take a nap now. I spent a productive morning and early afternoon.

I also picked up amphetamine (the brand name of this formulation is Dexedrine) extended release and will start on it tomorrow when I first wake up. I have a full day of meetings and a visit to my dermatologist tomorrow, followed by workouts in the evening, so I will need all the help I can get.

I am neither depressed nor hypomanic, which is a good sign.

@Tart Cherry Jam let me tell you, exercising around bedtime will make it so hard to sleep. I had such a busy day today, i went ALL over Raleigh today and then went to a birthday dinner. I didn't get in any naps today so i am going to sleep!

I slept a full 7 hours last night and I wasn't tired all day. SO proud of myself.

I am doing well even though my husband was hospitalized again in New York. With all the running around and this news, I have had a high stress day.

It's 10:04pm and I am officially headed to bed. Good night!

Last night I slept 8 and a half hours amazing! Had a full day today so no napping. I should sleep a full night's sleep tonight. Will check in before bedtime.

Hope you guys are doing well!

10:10 PM good night. Yesterday I went to bed really late after going to a show and I did not have an easy time today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

You know, sometimes they say, don't toot your own horn too quickly because something always looms around the corner.....

It is currently 2am and I am utterly haunted. The CPAP, the meds, even the incense I burned can't help the thoughts of shame and guilt and remorse I feel for my husband being homeless in NY. Suffering tonight and I have to go to work and a meeting afterward tomorrow. It's going to be a very long day and I can't rest.

I am so sorry to hear that @LadyShadow. Being haunted by rumniation, sleepless because of that, and then having to be up and show up for work meetings is so hard.

I honestly think my napping has a lot to do with it too. Do you guys get tired during the day? 2pm or 6pm is when I tend to take naps, that's probably what is messing with my sleep score. When I first got the CPAP, (FEB '23) I never napped and it really makes a difference in the data.
Yes, I definitely get tired during the day. That's why I started Nuvigil. I've fallen asleep a few times at work! It usually happens after lunch or a snack, so I try to keep the portions small and healthy (low on carbs and fat).

You mention 2pm and 6pm. I wonder, do you eat anything at 1pm or 1:30pm and 5pm or 5:30pm?

I'm reposting my report. This is the full report -- the previous attachment was just an excerpt. This one also includes Leak Rate.

My settings are 10psi to 15psi.

I didn't know that attachments can be enlarged,

Today is my second day on Dexedrine ER. I still need naps. The need is not overwhelming with this medication, but it is still there. Today I took a nap for an hour and after that felt great. In the evening, did 60 minutes of yoga followed by 65 minutes of easy steady state cardio. Now am very tired and going to bed.

Tomorrow, as my pdoc advised when we talked on Thursday, I will take half a tablet of Dexedrine instant release and a full capsule of Dexedrine ER. Maybe that will be the sweet spot.

the good thing is that my mood is level and good and I have no racing thoughts.

10:10 PM good night!

Hey guys!

Sorry I haven't updated you in a while, I have been so tired! Today is a slow dragging morning. @Tart Cherry Jam - the meeting was good, it was productive, it is going to turn into an amazing event in March and I am having a lot of fun helping organize it. The drive home was a bit scary with a guy swerving in the road, especially since I really don't like driving at night when I can't really see well.

@SquarePegGuy I do have meals around the times I get really sleepy, you're right about that. Like after I eat, I want to head straight for a nap. Trying not to nap after a meal, but it is really hard1

The ruminating thoughts are a real problem - they rob me of sleep. Thanks so much for your care and concern, it's nice to have this thread to feel safe.

Also, do you guys sometimes feel claustrophobic with the mask at all? Last night, I was having a bit trouble breathing, like I wanted to swallow, and my nose was a little stuffed. Sometimes that happens.

I think I averaged 5 hours last night, not happy with it. I am SO tired this morning, so I am just going to lay on my couch. Want to be productive, but I just can't.

Also, on my cycle today, so that could be contributing to my crappy state of being.

Hope you guys are doing better than me today!

Glad the meeting went well despite your being tired. I also like organizing events, even though I stress out about them - what if something does no go right? But in the end people are happy with the events I organized.

I've never felt feel claustrophobic from the mask. And I even place a black T-shirt over my face when the moon is at certain phases.

Sometimes my nose is a little stuffed, but I find that it clears slightly when I lie down with the mask on. I also know (trust) that any panic induced from feeling slightly suffocated will cause my body to make chemicals that will open my airways.

I didn't go to bed until after midnight. I was trying to set up an account at a bank that my daughter just joined.

The new bank is like a toy -- there are games and a lottery you can waste time with.

But I did not fall asleep all day.

Slept a full 7 and a half hours last night! It was probably from the lack of sleep the night before. It's weird when I try to breathe and a little stuffed, I get a little panicky, but it's not full claustrophobia. I had a full day, but I didn't get a nap. I did get tired around 2pm while I was watching a movie, but I stayed up.

Hope you guys have a good night's rest tonight - I should be headed to bed around 11pm.

I am sped up. Pressurized speech this morning, up since 6AM after less than 6 hours of sleep (very little for me). I even have dilated pupils. I thought it was just because I am on Dexedrine, but now I have read that combining stimulants with triptans, a class of medications used to abort migraines, can lead to a serotonin syndrome of which these things are symptoms. I used a triptan a couple of days ago. I wonder if I am having a super mild case of a serotonin syndrome.

Tomorrow will be another day, but most likely I will take Zyprexa at night since I am not sleepy at all and I doubt that milder Seroquel will work for sleep. And then tomorrow I will skip Dexedrine. And then I will soon become too sleepy during the day. I cannot win this game.

that feeling of being sped up is subjective. Objectively, I have just measured my blood pressure and it is 107/71 and my heart rate is 73. these are normal measurements.

10:34 PM going to bed. Will not wait a long time to take Zyprexa if I cannot fall asleep.

I waited until midnight and then took Zyprexa 5 mg ODT. Seroquel did not it as I had suspected.

I then slept, waking up several times to pee but did not need food. Ultimately got up with the 8AM alarm. Oura shows good sleep efficiency, enough deep and REM, and a low resting HR. Based on all that and that my mood is not elevated and is actually a little low, I took 2.5 mg of Dexedrine instant release. My doctor emailed me yesterday saying to take that if I am not racy in the morning but otherwise skip.

I am alert but not racy now. Pupils less dilated but still. Look tired. Will work now and we will see how the day develops. I plan to take Zyprexa at 10 PM tonight instead of Seroquel.

But you've made so much improvement! And you might or might not be sleepy tomorrow -- let's not predict a negative outcome! (Well, I'm responding to yesterday's post -- maybe I should've jumped ahead first.)

I woke up refreshed and energised this morning after 6 hours of sleep. Unfortunately the time was 3:15am.

I've tried going to bed three hours later (midnight-ish) to target a wake up time of 6:15am, but I still seem to wake up at 3:15am.

It's like I'm in a different time zone!

During Daylight Savings Time, I'd get up at that time (4:15am) and spend about 30 minutes to feed the cats, and then nap for a couple of hours. Maybe I should start doing that again....

I ended up needing a nap today. Took an hour long nap which refreshes me and boosted my Oura scores.

Then I went to a dance exercise workout at the fitness center for th first time. Then sauna and steam room for the total of 20 minutes. Then contraative temperature shower, ending with cold water on my head and body. I feel great after all of that. Now I will eat dinner and wins soon doe the night. I will take Zypeexa 5 mg.

Tomorrow I won't be able to nap. The agreement with the psychiatrist is that I will take 1/2 a dose of instant release in the morning and take the pills and my pill cutter with me to the office. At midday, depending on how I feel, I will take 1/4 pe 1/2 a tablet. I hope it is a workable solution.

I must say that developing a consistent bedtime with the help of fellow posters feel great to me.
