I know night is not nice. i hope you sleep well and no nightmares come. listen to your brother sleeping, might help you. sorry that it hurts sometimes when you wake up...i know what that is like...horrible.
it is a silly tip but it works for me, when i wake up from a nightmare, stick my tongue out at the memory of it as if to say "hah, i am in a safe place now"

Chronic nightmares have also been treated by a desensitization method that uses instruction about rehearsal of the nightmare and the imagining of a different ending.

In one study, patients were instructed to select a recent nightmare and write it down, change the nightmare in any way they wished, write down the changed version and rehearse the changed nightmare in an imagery relaxed state. Patients were instructed to rehearse the changed version once a day for three consecutive days after each nightmare or until the nightmare went away.

It was concluded that the use of desensitization or rehearsal techniques can reduce the frequency of nightmares and decrease distress.

found this. might help lucas. why dontcha try it? unless its too scary to go over them.
*hugs*

I don't blame you for being freaked out. When I see people who remind me of abusers I freak out.
Don't talk if you can't, and if you want to there are lots of people who will listen to you because you matter.

i feel so helpless. i want to help you.

i really want those people behind bars, in cages where they belong - and you to run and roam free, as you should.

if the police are the answer to help you because they can protect you, so be it Blue.

also, therapy would be good too ... at least then someone is watching out for you and knows the system that failed you, and can tell what will work to help you.

please, for the love of all that is good in this world, get a therapist to help you sort out all this stuff so you can live in peace, DEAR PERSON.

love,
night
