Thank you, @Discombobulated, I appreciate your support.

Now that it's over, I am not surprised either. I knew better, but it had to be done. My only hope now is that my boss will be better in knowing that I can go to HR and HR will at least look into it, making my boss more on guard.

There are 2 people that I believe side with my boss in this matter, who are both higher up. They each have shown they don't like me.

I think the 3 of them, including my boss, are trying to make things uncomfortable for me at work so that I leave.

It seems they have teamed up against me. This is what it feels and looks like. I am getting the cold shoulder at different times from all 3 of them.

And yesterday my boss randomly and for no particular reason pulled together a multi-team bagels and coffee meeting. I've never seen this done in this company, there was no collective goal or purpose so it was silly, at the end of which one of them wrote public praise for my boss that goes into my boss's HR folder. This woman, her friend, publicly wrote what a "beautiful soul" my boss is, and how it is such "a joy" to work with her, then wrote "love you!" - it was a jab and direct rub right in my face!

Wth? What is wrong with people? What do I do?

I seriously think that the 3 of them teamed up and collectively decided to make me feel uncomfortable so that I leave - all because I went to HR about my boss.

Other than going to HR again claiming retaliation, what do I do?

How do I mentally and emotionally survive this ganging up mentality and culture, while I look for another job?

Again I have no idea how the corporate world works?

Organize a meeting with all involved. Speak your mind, question their intensions. Of course HR is in that meeting.

You could to talk to one at a time maybe?

I still think talking to HR ask for their help or suggestions on handling a problem like this the right way.

Just quit and walk away?

The job of a Human Resources (HR) department is to manage a company's employees and workforce, covering everything from recruiting and hiring talent, training and developing employees, managing compensation and benefits, to fostering positive employee relations and ensuring compliance with labor laws and organizational policies. HR serves as a central point for managing the entire employee lifecycle, from hiring to end-of-employment actions, and aims to create a productive and supportive work environment.

Thank you foe your suggestions!

t's all so subtle.... I don't want to shake things up and make things even worse or more tense, that's the thing. I really don't know.

I could write a book about the hostile work environment in the USPS, but others have already done so. You would think a job with union representation wouldn't have so many problems, but the union is weak and self serving.
I had a great boss, but he had to go away because he didn't value the bureaucratic side of the job. The new boss needed to make friends, and did so by ignoring my seniority and scheduling me for holidays and overtime so his new (junior) friends
could be off. I had heard some rumors initially, but ignored them. As this continued, I decided I needed to look into his alleged criminal history. Some 10 years prior he was in court charged with rape. He testified he thought his girlfriend was 12 years old at the time. He was in his early 20s.
The young lady didn't come forward until she was 18, by which time he was married with 2 children. The court fudged things a bit in his favor and he was charged with carnal knowledge of a minor. He served no time. I inquired of the state police what his obligations were in regards to the sex offender registry. They informed me he was notified to register. Now my boss knows I put him on the sex offender registry. He gives the registry false information in regards to his employment, which is another class IV misdemeanor. I begin to notice my work area is seeded with items I have recently viewed on Ebay. Everywhere in a postal facility is viewable from overhead galleries. I spend time at the cancelling operation and 20s start flying out of the machine. I stack them up and turn them in. Then the postal inspection service visits me for a talk, I tell them what the deal is. I'm told the investigation into me is over, and his is just beginning. Long story short, he was denied removal from the jurisdiction which convicted him, but he appealed it to a district where he had connections to a powerful political faction. He was removed from the list.
I think part of the deal was that he was not to attempt to exact retribution against me. So remember I'm dealing with a serious mental illness while this is ongoing. They wonder why people "go postal". I was lucky to escape with a retirement and a pension. He was also allowed to retire.
After 25 years of this kind of stuff, I now have a Safety Director with a personality disorder. She thinks the authority of her office stems from her personality, and not state law and department policy. I told my supervisor, if I leave here before my time, it will be because of her. He revealed that several others have preceded me in exiting employment because of her. I only have to see her once or twice a year, and it's almost too much.
