I'm low on valium again. I can get it filled a day or 2 early, so on the 18th. But I have some cut up ones to try to make it to the 20th. The pharamacy only said something once and they were nice about it and still filled it early. But I should be careful now and I was doing good but these 3 month supplies are just hard to manage. Sometimes I get 3 month supplies. Sometimes I get one month with 2 refills.

Speaking of which, Slumber Kit do you do it for 4 minutes like this one article said? Or as long as you want or need? 4 minutes just seems so long, like a chore. I’d feel like I have to set a timer or something.

Maybe just as long as one is consistent? It’s new to me.

Painful anxiety today so far. I do feel some sort of relief reading here on our forums. So thank you, everyone!

No, I don't do it for four minutes as that seems too long. I just do it five times. I will repeat it if necessary but usually there is time in between the two or three box breathing sessions.

Feeling really distressed about having to go to the airport next week. I dread being alone in public, especially in a large building, but to make things worse I've only flown once before and had a horrible experience at the airport because the staff at the TSA checkpoint were screaming at everyone and extremely intimidating. I ended up having a huge panic attack, forgetting my phone at the checkpoint, and having to jump through hoops to get it back before my flight left. Just hoping things will go more smoothly this time. It's a different airport so I'm already scared about going into an unfamiliar place but trying (and failing) to convince myself that maybe the staff here will be a little nicer.

I had two panic attacks back to back last night. I don't know what is causing them. They are very distressing. I am trying to cope with them but they make me feel like I am dying.

Don’t ever read the Odd Thomas series by Dean Koontz. It’s about a guy who can see ghosts. It does have humor in it but is also scary too.

Thanks. That is too long and I wouldn’t know when 4 minutes have passed unless I set a timer. I guess I’ll see how many times works before I feel some results.

I’ve found not looking at the clock when I’m awake late at night is helpful. In that case ignorance is bliss. Otherwise I will think how I’ve been awake a certain number of hours and there’s a certain number of hours before I get up. And I have to get to sleep before this time, etc. Then I’d lie awake fuming over my upstairs neighbor, this building, this city, and this country. The guy above me takes longer showers than I do and it has to be late at night. And it’s annoying how he turns the water on and off and on and off a few times. THEN finally runs it for the shower. I wish he’d run it all at once for a few minutes, torturing me all at once and not bit by bit.

Watching commercial TV is giving me anxiety cause of a certain anti-smoking ad that airs around this time every year. I’m glad streaming is an option or it’d be a lot worse.

I am trying to keep myself as calm as possible. It isn't easy but trying various things does seem to make a difference. There are times, though, when none of my tricks work.

My anxiety is tricky, it's just a rising tide of guilt. It's very effective and a lot smarter than I am.

I've been getting panic attacks again. I don't even know why. It's like they come out of nowhere. I guess I will talk to my Pdoc about them next month. Otherwise my anxiety is high but that is pretty normal for me. I do a lot of breathing exercises.

Right now the anxiety is towards painful. I'm trying so hard to turn this ship around, so to speak.

I'm not sure this new anxiety medication is helpful. It doesn't seem to kick in fast enough.
