Nice work, bizi!

I didn't have the chance to make my 3-bean veg chili yesterday. I also realized about 10 mins ago that I'm missing some ingredients. So I'll have to buy the ingredients today, provided the roads aren't icy from last night's snowstorm.

I'm going to have the chili for dinner tonight and probably miss out on lunch, as I generally only eat 2 meals per day.

But for breakfast I had a bagel w/ butter

Generally eating bigger breakfasts now, usually muesli with berries, yogurt and chia. Was only eating a banana (although that is all I had today) but trying to eat more. Still failing with lunch by not eating most days but I always eat a decent dinner (though small portion) of some sort of meat with veggies. Swimming or briskly walking for 30-40 minutes 3-4 days a week. I have noticed I am putting on muscle which is nice (have some great biceps now!). No weight change in the last month, maybe lost a couple of pounds but I weigh myself randomly, with and without clothes so it is hard to tell. Now 5"3 and 116lbs.

This seems like a good weight for you...
Are you trying to tone up?

Starting to really like the protein shake idea. I want to buy some xanthan gum to make thicker shakes.

I also actually read the side of the protein powder bottle: it mentioned that I can add protein powder to different things like yogurt and baked goods. Duh. Why didn't I think of that??

Hmmm... I did lose 1lb... I'm not healthy @ this weight

Thanks, it is a good weight. Yes, I am trying to tone up a bit. My legs are already decent but I have a lot of flab on my upper arms, at the bottom. Think it is due to getting older (I am 40). I also want to tone up my stomach where there is a little flab. Still, looking much better than I did 6 months ago when I weighed 152lbs. Mostly, I just want to be fit and healthy.

Breakfast: Oatmeal and sausage
Lunch: Pulled pork on multigrain bread (my blood sugar was kind of low)
Snack: cheese stick and ¼ cup cashews
Dinner: Changed to sesame chicken with rice and shrimp roll. I don't get to eat out much so this is a treat.

I made buckwheat cereal and ate it with milk for lunch. Also, ate green salad with ranch dressing and chicken soup.

Had Cornflakes with milk for breakfast as a once-a-week exception (in general I do not eat refined carbs).

For dinner I will fry white fish and boil potatoes to eat with sunflower oil and dill. Also, will make a salad from Persian cucumbers and kefir cheese. And, will drink kefir.

YOu may want to increase the amount of protein in your diet.
we should have 20grams per each meal.
It helps keep your blood sugars stable so fewer insulin spikes.
I try to stay away from simple carbs.

Thanks! Yes, it is a lot of weight. Most came off when I stopped Zyprexa. Zyprexa made me eat a lot of junk and put on weight by itself too. Being so ill made me take up exercise to combat stress, depression and try to keep me stable. It also took my appetite away. Now the anxiety over all the traumas and stresses that have happened or been triggered makes me not eat much. So yeh, apart from being proactive and exercising most of the weight loss is due to my illnesses/medication change.

At the moment I am indifferent to food. I eat because I know I should but am not hungry. I used to love food. I am not depressed and am not trying to starve myself. Not really sure what is going on.

Maybe you could look at some recipes and find something that sticks out. plan for it and prepare for it then eat it.
I did that this past week.
Loving low carb.

My friend is switching to a new gym on the 22nd and has talked me into joining her (Planet Fitness), I'm excited about this. I need to lose 30-35lbs. I'm going to start exerting at home until then. I think a low carb diet will also be the way to go for me. I'm excited and think the exercise will help some with the depression.

Breakfast: two small pancakes with maple agave syrup, and two sausage patties
Lunch: Southwest Stew
Dinner: Broiled Cod with Herb Sauce, and Rotini with Tomato Sauce

Blood sugar was up from the Sesame Chicken I had yesterday, so doing whole grains and beans to knock it back down. That sucked because I like that dish, but no can do with the glucose issues.

Ate yogurt and naan for breakfast. (Had leftover naan from yesterday's Indian lunch.)

Had about 6 Oreos for snack.

For lunch, I had protein pasta with red sauce.

I *still* haven't made my chili

For dinner, I fried dover sole fillets in coconut oil, squeezed lemon juice on them and for a side, mixed cucumbers, dill, and plain Greek yogurt. I had plain kefir with this meal and then ate green grapes for dessert. Now I am going to drink 4 cups of hibiscus tea - I have to drink that much fluid to prevent migraine pain.

I was going to cheat at dinner but I resisted and ordered a tuna salad platter. No bread, just tuna salad and coleslaw on a bed of veggies. I knew I was going to drink wine tonight so I saved my carbs for that. Weekly weigh in tomorrow. I shouldn't have had alcohol tonight bc that seems to cause a couple of pounds weight gain for me but damn I needed it lol. Really stressful assignment for my online class. So much reading! Good thing I'm not turning to food for comfort as I usually do.

I only had three glasses of wine so I'm not falling over drunk. Gotta paint my son's room tomorrow!

trivia was fun tonight.
watched an ok movie....ate cheese and almonds and drank a bunch of water. I have to get up at 7 to leave at 7;30 to go out of town a ways....working at an assisted living facility.
