I'm closing out another successful day in dieting -- Day Five. I went to a movie today and took an apple with me. I resisted the popcorn and other treats and tore into my apple on the way home. It was a good plan.

We're getting some nice weather and i'm so relieved -- this Winter really got me down. I look forward to feeling better now that Winter has loosened it's grip and feeling healthier now that i'm not doing the bathroom dash several times a day.

I haven't been ill but i have longstanding issues with urgent loose stool and diarrhea. I tried two remedies my doctor recommended but neither worked. I read about taking a preventative Imodium and it seems to be working tho it's only the second day. But i'm hopeful. I haven't had two days in a row without bathroom incidents in ages. I just feel so good! Hate that problem!

I think Blue has this problem too? Didn't you mention IBS-D once, Blue?

I have IBS-D, yes.

My GI doctor prescribed me bentyl. It works really well. It stops the muscle spasms that lead to IBS issues! But I guess it depends on what causes your IBS, as I think there a number of things that can cause it

I think my weight loss is partially water weight loss, but it's hard to tell if it's fat loss and/or weight loss.

Turns out I didn't gain weight yesterday. The scale showed +1 lb, but when I woke up, it showed -1 lb. So I'm guessing it's water weight. Lost 8.6 lbs far.

I think Seroquel is partially to blame for this. I just get thirsty all the time, so I drink lots of water, whic leads to my body getting rid of excess water weight.

But today I ate oatmeal for breakfast. Lunch is going to be takeout from somewhere. I'm having an apple, protein shake, and yogurt for snacks.

163 this morning. so down a total of 6 pounds since 1-4-17.
Very frustrating.
I really need to cut down the wine consumption.
Not helping in the weight loss goals at all.
sigh

Been eating sooo poorly lately. I'm embarrassed.

Breakfast did not go according to plan. Oatmeal, LOTS of hashbrowns, toast, yogurt. Lunch also did not go according to plan! Grilled cheese (cheddar) with sour cream & onion chips... like LOTS of chips. So many carbs!

Seroquel XR is DEFINITELY making me lose weight, though. I always seem to get the opposite effects with meds.

My son wants to go to Texas Roadhouse tomorrow and I'm so not excited. I don't like steak and practically everything else is breaded and fried. I think I'm gonna end up with a salad. Ugh. We went to friendlys Wednesday which is basically carb city and I had a salad there too. And a decaf coffee to avoid the ice cream lol.

But it's worth it.

Saturday is national drink wine day lol. So I'm gonna grab a bottle of Sauvignon blanc tomorrow. I'll be drinking alone though. My sister in law has plans. My brother won't come to my house and I won't drink and drive so I can't go over there unless I spend the night which I'm not prepared to do this weekend. But oh well.

Today was a fail.

Breakfast: Advo nutrition bar
Lunch: Oatmeal and a banana
Dinner: two bowls of chili, apple
Snack: Little over a handful of crackers

Far exceeded my calorie goal for the day.

So tell me how a grilled chicken salad from Texas Roadhouse can possibly come out to 800 calories without dressing? TR doesn't post comprehensive nutritional info on their site, just calories. It does have bacon and cheese but still, 800 calories? I just don't know how that's possible!!!

Of course I haven't seen how big it is so maybe that has something to do with it.

Is the chicken slathered in butter when it's cooked? And does the chicken have skin on it? The croutons could also be buttery or olive oily... like dipped in butter before baking to hold the bread together. That's the only thing that comes to mind

Oats, berries, chia, sunflower seeds, yogurt and maple syrup for breakfast, protein and vitamin powder with rice milk for lunch and fish and veggies for dinner. Oh, and four beers...Last two days I have been utterly exhausted so unable to exercise. The Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia are flaring up leaving me with debilitating fatigue and horrible pain all over my body.

Guess I have been too active recently having fun and exercising. So disappointing because now I have to rest when I want to exercise. Exercise is so good for my physical and mental health. I just hope this flare-up passes soon. Still have to get through work this weekend though and my job is on my feet, running around all day. Sigh...

Day Six was another good day. I went out for dinner and had the salmon skillet so very nutritious and reasonable calories. It was nice to get out. The Winter weather is not so bad.

Nice job, apfei

I'm going to try eating healthy today. I ate a bagel for breakfast and I'm going to leave it at that. For lunch, I am determined not to eat junk food. In fact, I prepared my lunch already to force myself to eat healthy! I'm having homemade rice with veggies mixed in! The rice is brown rice, too. And finally, for snacks, I'm having a protein shake and yogurt.

Also, I got my T3 and T4 tested 2 days ago. Here's hoping that the results come back as positive for hyperthyroidism. Then I can get myself treated appropriately.

No skin on the chicken but I'm sure it's cooked in butter. This is Texas Roadhouse after all. The croutons may add a bit too, I wouldn't get those though. I'm not too concerned about calories, I just thought that was pretty excessive for a simple grilled chicken salad.

Yeah.

Seroquel has made me hungry all the time and I'm trying not to totally pig out. I don't want to give in to it, as that can cause serious problems, like major carbs cravings! (I am queen of carbs. lol)

I've also been eating a lot of carbs in the past few days. Definitely not enough protein, either.

Can you ask your hubby to hide the scale from you? I hope you're able to find something lo carb. Maybe chicken tikka (not chicken tikka masala)? There's also some Indian version of General gaus, but I don't know what it's called. There are also meat samosas, but I've never tried them. I only stick to veggie options, like aloo matter and veggie samosas.
