Straightened my hair this morning
Put on some makeup; went heavy with the concealer since a headache made me have some serious bags
Went to work
Came home a got ready for a party; which was really fun
Took a shower and changed into my favorite pair of leggings and studying for finals

Last night I took a much needed shower. It felt really good being clean with fresh pajamas. I slept really well and woke up feeling good.

May not seem exactly like self-care, but despite there being home made Christmas cookies in the house, I haven't been overeating sweets. Hooray for self control! Actually, it hasn't been that hard.

I totally think resisting sweets is self-care!

I did some artwork for awhile, it was relaxing, and I feel like I got what I imagined in my mind on paper, for the most part.

Also bought myself some takeout which I don't do often

I took a shower today and washed my hair!
This evening at 4pm I go to have my first BBL treatment on my face. Supposed to help with redness, rosacea, acne etc.
She is numbing my face prior to the treatment....wonder what I will look like when she is done???

About to make a cup of decaf coffee. I'm freezing. Putting on some scented wax. Took a klonopin to try and get myself to calm down. Trying not to dwell over the lack of sleep. I know I'll have to sleep at some point, it can't go on forever

trazodone...but I'm wondering if thats actually what caused the sleep issues and other things if possible? I started feeling weird a few days after starting it and it just got worse until last nights craziness

I'm not taking it tonight, I'm afraid to honestly. I took my regular night meds though, mood stabilizer, and clondine. I have klonopin, I don't take it often but I took some earlier to help me relax because I just was freaking out

I left a message with her office earlier

I think I got manic on trazadone. It is an antidepressant.

That might explain some things that have been going on this past week. It just kept escalating and I thought I just didn't need much sleep anymore. I didn't think I'd end up like I was earlier paranoid and thinking people were poisoning me or following me around town. Plus the agitation, exercising for like 2 hours straight...etc. I just thought I was doing good. But then I was crying because I was scared

I take .5mg of klonipin to sleep every night...have never changed the dose...for years I have taken this but last year I was not getting enough sleep so we added melatonin prolonged release and 5mg of zyprexa.
I sleep well now. and am able to diet and lose weight while on 2 atypicals.
so that is great!

Sunday - went out to eat for lunch and then to Home for the Holidays program with the symphony, choir singers, solo singer and metropolitan bells. It was wonderful!
Made a casserole for dinner.

Monday - Made healthy smoothies for breakfast for my mom and myself.
Went to water aerobics.
Had a spa facial.
Snuggled with dog watching Christmas programs.
Used a designated worry time. This was very helpful.

Helped H with necessary project.
Made nutritious meals.
Showered and all basic hygiene.
Cleaned up a storage area.

It all affects my self-esteem, so I consider getting these things done as self-care.

Love to All!

Got released from prison(hospital)
Went home a promptly passed out in my own bed.
Woke up and studying for finals.
Roommate went out and picked up Panara and had a healthy dinner
Showered and used my favorite toiletries instead of stinky hospital ones; hair actually feels and looks like hair.
Now chilling on a couch with my cat studying for finals with a face mask; since their is honestly nothing worse than dry hospital air.

Went to my last drum circle tonight. We did a meditation where we visualized going to our favorite nature spot and met a 90 year old wise woman who turned out to be the 90 year old us. What questions would you ask her? What messages would she impart to you? It was a great experience. Mine told me I’m going to be okay, I’ve got this and I’m going to make it. It was cathartic.

Made mom and myself healthy smoothies this morning for breakfast.

Using designated worry times which is keeping me from freaking out totally while my daughter is incommunicado on a camping trip to the remote part of Cumberland Island.
