Bipolar Check-In #92

Couldn’t sleep last night. Gave up trying at 6:30 am. But did get my shower this morning.

I was up from 2:30-6:30 then had to take my meds at 7. It’s supposed to be 95 and high humidity today with a heat advisory at 12 pm till who knows when. Unsure what the “feels like” temp is. I see a nap in my future.

Finally home it went real fast.

exhausted from no sleep last night. idk why. annoying.

I slept a couple hours this morning. I should try to take a nap.

Good morning. It’s day 4 on the 200 mg of Lamictal. No problems so far. Yesterday I started dissociating a bit and was panicky but used coping skills and managed to stop it and enjoy the rest of my day, without taking a klonopin. That’s twice now I’ve managed to stop it in its tracks. Normally it just goes on and on. But I’m really insistent on not relying heavily on klonopin. So I avoid taking it as much as possible. A bottle of klonopin can last me anywhere from 3-6 months sometimes longer. Recently I had been taking it more often. Once or twice a week. But I’ve managed to stop panic attacks and dissociation without it the past several days so I’m glad I haven’t used it. I really just try to keep it as a last resort med, if all coping skills fail.

Today I’m paying my internet bill and another bill. And tomorrow will pay my rent and some other bills, phone etc. I have to go to Walmart tomorrow to get a money order for my rent.

I feel pretty good today. It’s gonna be a busy week. I ended up cancelling tonight’s volunteer shift mainly cause I didn’t want to overwhelm myself since I have a lot going on this week. My volunteer coordinator said it’s okay and she would cover for me tonight.

Anyway, doing well. Enjoying the day

There’s a heat advisory from 10 am to 10 pm with feels like between 97 and 101 and I can’t find N3. He hasn’t answered my text or call.

I fell asleep around 10:30-11. I kept waking up because I couldn't stay on my bed. I woke up at 8 but I'm still tired and my stomach is kinda odd..

I took my bp and my pulse is 124 lol. No wonder I don't feel good. I didn't have coffee today. 00I had a cotton candy cloud float.

I finally got a stocking job interview for tomorrow at a local grocery store

it seems weve all struggled t o sleep last night. iw onder why. the heat advisory here is no joke. it finally rained a bit ago too. im hoping for storms to bring the cold front theyre calling for later this week.

My mouth is really hurting this morning, and its tough to eat. There's no real cure for it according to the doctor, just keep numbing the ulcer and taking folic acid to numb it till it goes away. I am also still really sick, which is like terrible on top of everything else.

I am just feeling bad today - everything hurts. I loved going to GalaxyCon but I am really suffering afterwards. Just going to rest the next few days. Currently listening to a Gilbert Gottfried podcast that's pretty cool.

I left my propalanol in yesterdays med box. No wonder my pulse got up to 124 and I felt funny. I took todays just now.

This. For some reason beyond my comprehension I can’t nap. Never could as a kid either.

It’s supposed to be hot and humid here too with warnings on the UV rays. But waiting for the bus back I sat outside in the sun and was comfortable. I did bring a bottle of water with me, but it doesn’t seem as bad as they are saying on tv. Maybe my perception is off cause I’ve not slept? Supposed to get storms again tonight overnight. By Tuesday it goes down to mid 70’s.

I just have to see what time their stocking hours are. Cause I can't go in at 4am or something like that. It didn't say overnight stocking when I applied so I assume they have regular daytime hours for stockers.

My stocking/backroom jobs always started around 6-6:30 and were between 5 and 8 hours a shift.

That works for me. I’ll see what they say. Just needed to make sure the buses run that early. Earliest bus comes at 5am.

Now that I think about it idk. I’d have to be up by or before 4am to get a 5am bus. I don’t think I could manage that on my meds. I sleep for like 10 hours a night. I think I’m just gonna go through the Voc rehab thing my psychiatrist mentioned, when I’m ready and possibly go back to college.

Just waking up. Yawn. Trying to get through a coffee then I need to get dressed. Woke up at 4:30am. Better than 3:00am like last week!

I'm sorry for everyone who had trouble sleeping last night. I definitely empathize with those of you under heat advisories. There are always heat advisories here and I guess it looks like even overnight heat advisories now. The current feels like temp is 100F, so yeah, it's pretty miserable, and it never cools much overnight, usually only down to around 80F. Worse, around 4, 5 PM the AC struggles and just can't bring the temp down. It was 83F inside the other day with the AC on! Thank goodness the AC seems to help most of the day minus a few hours, from around 4 PM to dusk. We need to call an AC repair company out soon.

Last night I only slept just over 6 hr; I tend to function better with at least 8 hr. of sleep, but I'm doing fine so far. I went for a jog this morning, ran a mile less than I'd planned; it rained a lot over the weekend and the humidity was super high (even for here). I had the usual morning--shower, breakfast, reading with the SAD lamp. I spent the rest of the morning and after lunch painting a picture of avocado toast which was pretty involved.

That avocado on toast looks magical! I’ve got an avocado at work I’m going to eat with my salad at recess time or lunch time today!
