I understand you are not supposed to threaten it, and members might be upset but to be honest I don't have any friends here anyway! It's all false. Nobody really knows me. Got a nice picture of a horse with wings, but that's about it!

I read some resources about suicide and it said not to do it because it would upset friends and family. Hey! I have no friends! My family would do just fine without me!

I have had a life time of emotional pain, sick of applying coping strats and oh, hang on it will get better! Bollocks, it never does, we kid ourselves into believing it might. Once an amoeba, always an amoeba. I can't change no matter how hard I try and believe me I really have tried.

I agree, life is substancially crap. But let's face it: suicide is NOT easy to be reached. Lulling one self in the idea that there is THAT escape always ready is not realistic. I know I have to live. I can't do enything else. So I try to cope. You see, no choice.

pegasus you have been here about the same lengh of time as i have, and i always look to see if your online or been online i consider you a friend of mine just as much as fuzzy and the others,i always thought my family would be better of without me as i was making things worse
right up untill about six mths ago
even when i attempted it seemed the better thing to do
and when the police came they asked spoke to me and i told them i wanted to be with my father, but they wouldnt let me
they got me a ambulance and asked who i would like contact with, i asked for my aunt

when i was admitted to the hospital my daughter and a friend came into see me and waited untill i was dischrged
my aunt came and talked to me, she asked me what life was like growing up with out my mum and would i honestly put my children through that
so every time i become down and that sort of thoughts are going through my head i reach out to my friends here on opc and irl and remember that my kids need there mum

besides, peg, let's face it - if you're not christian and believe in reincarnation - you'll have to go through all this again and get all the lessons you missed. If you are christian, suicide's not allowed and will end you up where you don't want to be... worse than here.

It's true I don't know you, but that doesn't mean I don't want to. Talk to us, tell us about yourself, and let us know who you are. Just because we don't meet you in person doesn't mean that we can't ever know you. Your face isn't who you are.

I think people online can know us a lot better than people we meet IRL, because there are no preconceptions based on appearance. We can be more open, because we are anonymous. You don't have to be closed off from us.

I have always loved that. Not. For me that just adds to the burden and makes me feel MORE like doing it.

I don't, though, because -- I don't want to die. I want to find out how the story comes out. To kill myself would be letting the ones who told me I was worthless win.

I know that "virtual" friends aren't as good as IRL face to face friends who can take you out ot eat or to the movies or just sit and listen... but you do have friends here, and I'm one of them.

I'm distressed to hear you are struggling so. You have a lot on your plate, and probably are self doubting... remember that your depression is telling you lies. You have to fight to not listen to the lies!

(((Pegasus))) I think for me when I use to active look for friends, when I used to judge how worthy my existence was by how many people I could add to my mobile phone. ...Now its shifted, its nice if someone thinks of me or wants to talk to me, but my existence doesn't depend on that, it depends on me finding what fulfills me each day, and each day I start anew at that task, what worked for me yesterday may have to be moved about the next...reading a book yesterday may have help relax me but today I need to just sit quite...its finally finding this little things I do-for-myself that have added depth to my existence...you sound like your feeling inside out ???

as hard as this is for us all and you, on some level we do know eachother. we share the same pain, tears, laughs, frustrations ect. so if one of us does decides to end our life, which no one is really sure what happens to us after the fact, that would definitely affect us. i know that i care otherwise i like others would not take the time to even respond to your post. just like the way you care about us when you answer our posts and hand out a hand of support. you do matter to me, to us, and to anyone you encounter i'm sure. i mean you have 3 pages of replies just for your post. wow!!! i hope you find some comfort.
