I weighed myself this afternoon and with shoes and clothes on I was 176. So I think I’m making progress. I had a couple sodas and an apple for breakfast. Lunch was half a sandwich. My snack was an orange. Dinner will be the side salad that came with my dinner. I have down 1,491 calories.

I have a piece of chocolate cake that I got because I had a $6 off coupon if I spent $15 and I heard this place has really good chocolate cake. But I am going to save that for tomorrow and probably share it as well with someone.

I was 172.2 Today. I woke up super hungry for sweets so I ate that piece of death by chocolate cake. Then I went back to sleep and I was still hungry so I had 10 frozen chicken rings. I also had a sugar free French vanilla iced coffee and a 16oz mango Pepsi. With the can of soup I’m having for dinner I’ll be at 1,540 calories. The shot I get on Saturdays makes me super hungry on Sundays. But I feel ok now after the chicken rings. So I think I can stick to my goal. I took a brief walk an hour ago.

I ate a 2 pack of Hostess snowballs and a Coke but at like 12:30 this morning. Then I got a coffee from McDonald’s and I had a 16oz Mountain Dew. I had an Atkins shake and 2 pieces of Ezekiel bread for lunch. Dinner will be 4 golden potato’s. I’m always so confused when I eat stuff at 12:30 but I have down 1,620 calories for the day.

I'm going a couple of pounds up then a couple down. I wish I could just lose 5 more pounds. Then I'll be at a milestone. It's just hard.

I weighed 178 today. I’m pretty sure it’s the new over the counter sleeping pill that’s making me hungry at night. My mom said my eating is almost frantic like and it happens shortly after I take the med. So I threw it out this afternoon and I’ll have to figure out another way to help me sleep. So far today I’ve been hungry but I’ve been controlling it. I’m trying to zig zag which means not eating the same amount of calories everyday. For example today I’m eating 1,376 and then tomorrow I’m eating 1,652. It’s supposed to help you not plateau and help you not yo yo. I found an online calculator to help me figure it out.

I ate well today. I guess that counts for something. I just wish I could lose weight. I wish I could exercise. But with my back, I am limited.

I was still 178. Today my hunger was ok. So I assume it was the unisom. Today I had a yogurt, a Diet Coke with blue coconut flavoring, a small order of fries, a plain hot dog, a pack of Jack Links beef jerky and cheese, a mango Pepsi, and 2 Gogurts.

177 today. I had a pudding cup and some beef jerky at midnight. Then I had a chicken noodle soup bread bowl for lunch. I’m getting Dennys for dinner. Total I have down 1,535 calories for today.

I've been eating a lot of turkey wraps with all kinds of vegetables. I think I am doing well. I had room between the steering wheel and me when I got in the car today. That's progress.

179 today. Yesterday I was 176. I had a ton of water last night. Probably over 100oz. So far today I’ve had a Payday candy bar, a 16oz Mountain Dew, a Jimmy Johns turkey sandwich with no mayonnaise, a bowl of dinosaur oatmeal, an orange, and an apple. For dinner I’m going to have a plain hot dog. I have down 1,528.

I've gained a little weight but I've been eating cheesecake and McDonald's. Today was much better. I had some soup and sandwiches.

I cut back on running and walking for 3-4 weeks as a result of a long chronic illness flare up. I started a new treatment and have my fingers crossed it will help me be in remission after a few monthly treatment injections. Last Saturday, I walked almost two miles and my chest started hurting.

I assumed it was asthma and ended my walk. I spoke with a pharmacist with my speciality pharmacy, was advised to ease back in and not jump in feet first. Lol. I’ve been researching Garmin Watches. I learned that Apple Inc. restrictions a lot of the functions you receive from a non-Apple devices.

I do have an Apple Watch ⌚️
and other Apple devices. I’m too tied in the ecosyste, I’m definitely keeping my Apple Watch ⌚️but it does *not work very well with Strava or Nike Training Club. I noticed both apps had conflicting information and I used both simultaneously.

I want to add a Garmin Watch that will accurately track, have basic smartphone features but not break the bank. Lol

I started Noom a month ago. It’s been up and down for me. It’s CBT based and CBT is tough for me. It’s the only therapy I’ve ever done and I don’t fully understand it. I have a lot of articles bookmarked so I can look back on them. I’m not gaining but I’m really not losing either. What helped me today was eating a lot of wonton soup. They say soup fills you up. I also didn’t have any soda for the first time in weeks. I had a lot of water. I’m basically still just maintaining around 170-178.

I've gained weight. I bought some regular food to eat and it tasted good but it put weight on me.

I read something interesting in one of my Noom articles that says it takes less time to throw together a quick healthy lunch or dinner then it does to drive to a drive thru or wait for delivery. They also said if you meal prep for a few days in advance it’s even better. I ordered a lot of groceries for pickup tomorrow like steak and salmon and turkey burgers so I can start meal planning. I have these cool Tupperware containers my insurance gave me. We have a fridge now with a cold water filter so I’ve been drinking a lot of water and not any soda and since we had to throw out and eat the stuff from the old fridge I don’t have anything unhealthy in the house besides a box of chocolate paydays I’ve been ignoring. I put them way in the back of the pantry. Also since the new house is one small floor instead of 3 floors, I’ve had to get up and leave my room every time I want to tell my mom something because it would be goofy to text her when she’s 10 feet away. So I feel like I’m moving more then I was before.

I think it was water weight that I gained. Most of it came off.

I had a good breakfast. I had a baked potato, 2 eggs, and a cold foam coffee from Dunkin Donuts. I did have a 16oz Pepsi around 10 because I felt like it would help my vertigo which I thought was caused by caffeine withdrawal. I also had a dark chocolate sea salt RX bar for a snack. They are super expensive and there’s only 4 in a box so I won’t be buying them often but I read they are the best protein bars for weight loss. Then for lunch I wanted fast food. I ate a few vegetables with ranch dip instead and I felt fine after. I will have some butternut squash noodles and a scrambled egg for dinner.

I picked up a very healthy grocery order this morning from Walmart. Since moving and having to get rid of old food, I’ve been able to start over on the food I buy and I pretty much only have healthy things now besides my box of chocolate paydays and my soda collection.

I woke up feeling ravenous. I woke up at 8 and by the time I got out of the shower it was 8:30. And 8:30 is kind of late for me to be up. But I had 2 chocolate Paydays and an organic vegan Amy’s rice pasta TV dinner and 2 cups of watermelon before 10AM. Then I left to run errands and I got back kind of late in the afternoon and I had a bag of steamed broccoli and a mug of decaf chocolate tea. I’m going to have a round eye steak and a baked potato or maybe some chips for dinner. So it’s evening out it was just a lot this morning. I have down 1,366 calories. My goal is 1400 calories but since I walked a lot today, Noom bumped it up to 1,460.

I'm new to this thread so hello everyone!

I'm Jane, 5'3" 250 pounds, BMI 43.4. I've been on about 80 diets. I do my own calorie-reduced diet according to The Canada Food Guide which is heavy on the vegetables. I lost 65 pounds using this method when i was 41. I felt so good! Moving around was so much easier! I was so proud of myself!

Now i'm trying again but at my age and in menopause, it's not so easy. I put the same amount of effort into weight-loss now that i did then and lose a small fraction of what i used to. Sometimes i even gain!

So i'm not weighing this diet, just trying to be healthy and eat and move in moderation. It's been 3+ weeks and already my clothes are looser and i have more energy!

I screwed up and ate a bag of chips today (my binge-food-of-choice). But i also drank several liters of plain water.

An eating disorders psychologist (history of anorexia) taught me that if i eat a moderate diet most of the time, the occasional indulgence is okay, as it just gets eliminated as waste.

Sorry if that's TMI! But i found her words were true. I won't go into detail!

This diet i am enjoying water, chamomile tea with valerian, vanilla whey protein powder in regular skim milk, mixing a whack of veggies in my mac n cheese and ravioli frozen entrees, eating a bigger breakfast with raspberries, green grapes, oatmeal and the protein drink, etc.

Also managed a walk with my neighbor and our dogs by the river. It was lovely but i was exhausted despite having excellent new new new walking shoes. We saw a pair-bond of geese. They were very skittish about the dogs, we think the female was pregnant, perhaps.

Now, sitting pretty on my balcony taking in the glorious day in my sweet flowered sundress and enjoying life!

I've gained weight. I need my walker to get around. I had to get my mom to come help me with chores cause I can't walk. I'm trying the Keto diet to see if I can lose some weight.
