I ate 1,637 calories yesterday including a piece of cookie cake and I was 157.6 this morning. Down over a pound since yesterday. I don't get it, all I did was sleep yesterday. I'm trying to maintain at 158. Yeah, I'm a bit concerned with all this sleeping and losing weight without trying.

I was 159 today. I had over 300 carbs yesterday but I was still under my calorie goal. Today I've had around 1600 calories and 240 carbs. My goal is to stay at or under 256 carbs. My therapist gets on my case about this and has even suggested I gain some weight. My mom has mentioned it too but I feel perfectly fine around this weight. Although the whole loss of appetite is still an issue. I've been falling asleep and missing dinner lately and doing other stuff like that and it annoys people.

I'm still at 159. 158.6 is where I really like to be. 157 and my therapist gets real pissed because then I start looking too thin. She will probably be pissed about something or another anyways regarding my weight or calories or what I eat or something the next time I see her. She is so hard on me about my weight but my mom says I need someone to be hard on me about it. My therapist told me she is super protective of me. I'm currently trying to shrink a new too big hoodie so thats whats currently going on about clothing sizes.

Not been the best few weeks for me, I’ve had sugar cravings which I think a a reaction to stress at work. So I’m reaching for the wrong things. I do try to replace them with the right ones but it’s not easy when feeling stressed.

My exercise took a dip too as I just haven’t had time. One run last week, although it was a nice one and I got to see an amazing sunrise.

The pool was shut too for repairs so having to wait for a swim which I’m craving as it relaxes me.

Hoping next week will be better as I’ll be off work.

I had my mom take a picture of me today and I was wearing a hoodie and jeans. And yeah my mom commented on how I looked so no doubt my therapist would have given me crap as well. Luckily today is not the day I see her because my eating has not been good. I had a 7.5oz Coke and a couple 11oz bottles of Sunnny D for breakfast. But I didn't have anything to eat. Then I got a Mexican pizza from Taco Bell when they opened. I had a 16oz Coke a couple hours ago. And I just now had a tablespoon of Wow butter. So I'm at 1,100 calories and 174 carbs right now. I'm not sure what to do about dinner.

Kinda tmi but does plant based stuff make you go to the bathroom more? I haven't been having any diarrhea but my plant based butter is making me go the bathroom a lot several times a day.

Today I had a few Cokes but I also had 2 Sargento balanced breaks, half a container of plant based eggs, which is a liquid you make into scrambled eggs, and a tablespoon of Wow butter. So far I'm at 1,270 calories and I still have to figure out dinner.

How do you know it is the plant based butter and not the taco bell or something else you ate?

You can't generalise "plant based stuff" like that. There's so many ingredients and foods that are plant based and they all have different effects on your body. Even if it is the butter, that doesn't mean all plant based food will have that effect.

Going fully plant based will usually increase your fibre intake. But then you also need to drink plenty of water to avoid constipation.

I only had Taco Bell that one day. I've been eating plant based butter or other plant based stuff every day and going regularly every day. I drink about 3 bottles of water a day.

Is it plant based "peanut butter"?

Peanut butter is already plant based. This product seems pretty processed, which to me is the opposite of the intent of eating plant based. Plant based means eating plants as close to their initial state as possible, imo. Not stuff like the "Impossible Burger."

I think the WOW product just uses different oil - it says it has all these omega-3's. I wonder if its like the special low cal potato chips some years ago that were giving everybody the runs, unless they ate really limited amounts.

Had a salad for lunch today, was pretty good. Just had some spring mix, with sliced turkey, tomato, and spicy hummus (I use hummus as a dressing sometimes)

Its made out of soy but it tastes very similar to peanut butter. At least to me. Ha I remember hearing about those chips. They caused "**** leakage" and they had to put a warning on the package. Funny stuff.

Today my eating wasn't good just because I wasn't feeling 100%. Possibly from my 200mil caffeine bottle of coffee or from lack of sleep. I'm struggling to make it to 1500 calories today. My weight was stable for about a week at 159-160 but I think its sliding back down again despite me trying to maintain.

I was 157.8 this morning. I said "wtf" and then stepped on the scale again and got the same number. I lifted weights and used my ab roller yesterday so I expected to be the same. Although I'm not 100% sure how that works I just know muscle weighs more then fat and you'll look better if you are all muscle and you normally put on weight but its not fat. I just look like a shrimp right now even without clothes on.

Dewed - a couple of things about muscle.

If you have a long muscle belly, you will have (or build) bigger muscles. Look at your calf muscle - where it ends. Is it halfway down your leg, close to your ankle, or closer to your knee? If it is close to your ankle, ie past the halfway point, that is a long muscle belly.6

The other thing is, are you large or small boned? Measure your wrist. I think 7 is the middle measurement. More than that and you are large boned.

Also, it takes a few days at least to show muscle growth. All that happens in the first few days is tearing down - due to the stress of weight lifting. It usually causes water gain.

You want to have some protein after a session to give your body direct quick access to protein. Thats what they say. But it takes hours to digest, so idk. Maybe thats part of the hours or days long it takes to heal muscle. Unless you are doing very light weights, they also say to lift weights only every other day. Altho abs can be worked on every day. Antonio Sabato Jr does 300 crunches every day! And boy it shows!
Thanks for this!

I'm just wondering if I'm still struggling with getting enough calories in will gaining muscle even work or will I just keep losing weight? I ate about 1500 calories yesterday so maybe my body just considered yesterday a workout and thats why I lost so much weight. Idk how that works.

I don't know if I'm big boned or not. I'm only 5'5 but I have broad shoulders and a long stomach. My therapist described me as being thin and also having the perfect male body. So idk. She also called me scrawny as well.

Muscles (and fat) dont happen overnight. Otherwise people wouldnt have to spend decades working on their physiques. Your water and weight are more easily manipulated, by sodium, hydration, drugs, food, and exercise. But these are not permanent physique 1changes.

I was 160.2 today. I did my workout yesterday and had my protein shake after. I ate 1,612 calories total for the day. Today is a rest day for me regarding my workout so I didn't make that particular protein drink since those are legit protein drinks for post workouts. So far I've had 850 calories. Kinda not the best quantity wise and 360 of those calories were eaten at 12:30AM. So I'll have to make up for it. I still believe in calories in vs calories out although I do also know my diet isn't always the best. My self esteem has been pretty good though these last couple weeks even if I do look a bit like a scrawny shrimp.

I bought some Bob Evans mac and cheese, sweet potatos, and glazed apple, fridge side dish things. My therapist thinks "just keep eating." Is that easy for me to do but she made some sort of comment about eating high calorie foods too so I figured I'd try these.

I was 159.8 today. I worked out yesterday then drank a protein shake half an hour later and I can feel it today. I'm a bit achy. Especially in my abdomen which is where I really want to gain muscle. I'm struggling with food. Yesterday I only had around 1,479 calories. A lot of it was in drinks. I'm trying to do better today. I didn't work out, I'm doing it every other day.

Oh - except for sugary baked beans. Those show up as fat immediately around my waist. Vegetarian beans are better for me.

Yeah, dewed you have a bit of a quandary. Too much protein can be bad for your kidneys, but we need protein to build muscle. Altho there ARE vegetarian bodybuilders. My cousin is vegetarian, and a lot us cousins on my mom's side bulk up easily.

I just worked out my arms and legs today. My abdomen still needs a break. I did 3 sets total with 20 seconds of rest in between each set with my weights. I probably could have done more. Then I did 3 sets total with 20 seconds of rest in between each set with my 8 pound kettleball. I was doing squats and I did all 30 squats but I had to push myself at the end. Then I drank my protein shake half an hour after. Tommorow I'll use my ab roller and hopefully be able to do more than 50 which is what I did last time.

Idk. Maybe the squats worked out my entire body and not just my legs. I've just been going off a couple Youtube videos and some google images.

I don't feel too achy or anything right now.

I’m 170 lbs now, so lost exactly two pounds from what I was a week ago at 172.

Taking a long walk later today and getting back on the treadmill too since it’s working now.

I did my abs today. At 2AM because I couldn't sleep and I was bored. I did 50 ab crunchers with my ab roller. Then I took a 2 minute break. Then I did another 50. Then I drank a protein shake half an hour later. Then I fell asleep a bit later for half an hour or so and woke up feeling like crap. My therapist says I'm overdoing it.

I mean I guess theres worse stuff you could be doing at 2AM then over excercising. I think you can get addicted to it though.

I've noticed an increase in my hunger at night. The only difference is the melatonin I've been using and the times I take that and my Geodon. So I'm switching back to my old melatonin and I'm trying to take my Geodon later. Last night I didn't take the hungry melatonin and I didn't sleep well but I've also barely eaten today either.

I didn't work out today. I woke up and realized I needed a rest day. I was hungry though from not eating much yesterday so I ate 3 yogurts for breakfast. One regular Yoplait, one regular Chobani, and then one Chobani flip. I then went to Starbucks a couple hours later and got a venti iced pumpkin spice latte with non fat milk and light whipped cream. So far today things have gone good.

Btw you can't blacklist someone from an entire part of the forum. Just an fyi.

I didn't work out again today. That one day really did me in. I did get some walking done from a parking lot to a park and then back again. It wasn't a lot of walking but it was movement and then there was a good almost 2 hours in the fresh air at the park.

Food wise I'm at about 1500 calories. And it was pretty bad quality, I'm not gonna lie. I was in a mood today so I ate what I felt like I could handle.

I got really bad indigestion from Dominoes on friday. I ate too light of a breakfast, then waited too long for my 2nd meal, so i ordered out. Bargaining with god late friday night, i vowed i would have oatmeal for breakfast. It was tough following thru, but i did it. So saturday i am cleaning and restacking my pantry. Parts of it are now shockingly nice.

I ate Bob Evans mac and cheese around 2AM this morning. I was starving from eating dinner before 5PM last night. After eating the mac and cheese I was able to get back to sleep and sleep in late though. That stuff has a crap ton of sodium though. I had a small coffee from Wendys around 8 and a Quest protein bar a few minutes ago. I don't know what I am going to eat for the rest of the day. Carb and calorie wise I'm fine right now, but I'm way over on my sodium goal.
