I love ginger ale! My grandma used to make some kind of homemade one that I tried to replicate but never could, it was pretty fiery.

I think there’s naturally a weight we’re comfortable at and we all have different metabolic rates. For me I’m at that weight, don’t want to lose anymore because I don’t look good skinny.

Exercise going good this week, running and swimming. I’m enjoying running on chilly dark mornings and like the feel of the rain, which is helpful as it’s raining most days here. Swimming is pretty sedate stroke but hopefully it’s helping build strength.

The other day i had a Snickers cup ice cream. It was about the size of the single serve haagen dasz cups? It was just the right amount!

I don't know what my weight is, haven't checked it in a few days. I have been getting on the treadmill for 30 minutes each day and also been more physically active though so hopefully that helps. I'll check my weight again at the end of the month

I had to restart my Zofran today after severe nausea anxiety that I tried dealing with for about a week on my own and with OTC stuff. Today I've had a Pepsi at 1AM, a chai latte, a Clif bar, 2 Lunchables, and 3 little containers of cherry tomatoes. Dinner will be a piece of tilapia. I'm not 100% sure on the latte since it had stuff on top but skim milk instead of whole milk, but I'm somewhere around 1300 calories for the day. I'm hoping the zofran doesn't make me too hungry because that crap works like a benzo.

Today I've been off and on hungry but I've been controlling it. Although I'm pretty hangry right now. I had a Pepsi and a little bag of Tostito chips at 6AM. Then I had a snack size ham and cheddar Lunchable, and a small potato wedge from Wendys. I just now had a peppermint bark Quest bar. My mom is at the store looking for twice baked potatos for dinner. I'm somewhere around 1230 calories today.

I bought 5 different flavors of quest bars recently: chocolate mint, chocolate peanut butter, chocolate, white chocolate raspberry, and blueberry. The blueberry tastes the best. But none of them make you crave another! Its just one and done for the day. Bsically a safe dessert for me.

I haven't been eating enough and its been affecting my moods and stuff. Today has been ok though. At 1AM I had the other twice baked potato my mom got. Then I had 2 pouches of tuna for breakfast. Which was a ton of protein and tuna is a superfood so its really healthy. I got an iced coffee with skim milk and splenda right before 9. Then I had a smores Quest bar and an unsweetened cherry applesauce for lunch. Right now I'm eating some shelled pumpkin seeds. I'm not sure what else I'll be doing today. I have 260 calories left. I might have a Lunchable or something for dinner.

I'm just hanging around 163.6. I haven't moved around or gotten out of bed much in 2 weeks. Today was better though. I got out of the house. I had a couple Lunchables and a few sodas and a couple pouches of tuna. I also bought a box of Quest cheese crackers which are basically protein Cheese Its They have 130 calories per bag and 10 grams of protein. I am at 1330 calories for the day. Carb wise isn't the greatest. But if I keep a good supply of Lunchables and Quest products on hand then I'm normally pretty good.

I made sure my teeth were in decent shape and then I went back to my tic tacs. Its more of a stress relief thing then an appetite suppresant although it works both ways. I bought some rare ones while I was gone. Strawberry ones, and orange flavored but white colored. Then I saw that they came out with black cherry for Christmas. So I plan on picking up my $34 prescription toothpaste, a new Oral B battery power toothbrush, and about 10 containers of those tic tacs. Anyways my weight seems to still be steady around 163. I'm still getting crap for looking too skinny and for food restriction. Today I had less then 1200 calories but I just legit wasn't hungry.

Hello, everyone. Could you give me some advice? I understand that you don't want to waste your time on me, but I would appreciate it if you could take 2 minutes. I've been playing basketball for a few years, but I want to start bodybuilding.

Its been rough I guess. I've been working out so the scale is up a bit but I think all these protein products are messing with my mental health and my stomach. I feel like absolute crap right now both physically and mentally. I look good though.

If you aren't getting an answer it might be because nobody knows an answer. You might want to post a new topic instead of in this post since more people will see it there.

I'm working out about every other day with my weights and ab roller. I'm alternating between my upper body and my lower body. My weight is stable at 166 but I look more like 146 which doesn't look too good on an almost 30 year old guy. But whatever at this point. Lately I haven't been able to do much food for both emotional and physical reasons. I don't really keep track of calories much. I try to stay around 1500. 1800 is ok but is pushing it. If I have something at 1AM I count it for the day before. Idk its just different now. I do more intutive eating now I suppose.

I was 166.4 this morning. I hadn't planned on working out but I drank a bottle of Mountain Dew which gave me a buzz and motivated me to do a workout. I did 10 side bends 3 sets total on each side with my kettle bell. Then I did 30 squats with my kettlebell. I did 50 ab crunches with my ab roller. Then I felt ok enough so I did 20 bicep curls on each arm with my kettlebell. It was about a half hour workout and I am not in pain so hopefully I toughened up or whatever and got past the pain part.

Calories aren't created equal.

You can count your calories to reach your 1800 mark... but if you're not putting food of value into your body, then those 1800 calories have no nutritional value whatsoever!

I do understand the disadvantages of being unsure of what to eat, but that's why you could turn your attention to a nutritionist, through your GP.
Then the calories that you eat (Good fats- protein and carbs) actually mean something and your goal of getting healthier with body changes actually has a chance of happening.

As it stands now your calorie counting means nothing when you're not putting food of purpose into your body.

I just asked my mom last night if my insurance would cover a nutritionist because I am kind of at a loss with things. I feel like I'm making progress with my work out but the food part of things I'm just clueless with. I've upped my calories but I'm still Iosing weight.

Today I was 165 exactly. I did 60 crunches with my ab roller, 30 bicep curls on each arm, and then 30 squats about an hour later.

I have some stuff planned for today, but I'm still 640 calories short of my 2050 calorie goal so I'll have to figure out some more things.

Good carb breakfast.
Quick Oats...not the ones in the individual satchels as they are high in sugar.
Just grab a bag of oats (rolled oats is better, but to begin with go for Quick oats as they are creamier. Oats are cheap and are very healthy for you.
You can step up your breakfast oats to the inclusion of half a banana..and/or add 6 almonds cut in half...and/or a squeeze of honey.

Or you can skip the banana, honey and almonds add some frozen berries to your oats. You can find these in the frozen section at your supermarket.

A high protein meal.
Another -1/4 cup of Greek Yogurt with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon mixed in (I can't eat it without the cinnamon. Pile it on two pieces of toast.

Look next to broccoli and chicken or tuna or salmon with rice.
You'll get you good fats and protein from the fish and chicken...although fish have the higher good fats.

If you're unsure how to cook rice or any of the above dishes, you can YouTube it and then you become better/clever in the kitchen.

Talk to your GP as (s)he may be able to either point you into the right direction of food intake or give you a nutritionist referral.
It seems that they are concerned by being honest with you, so I'm sure they're going to be very willing to help

I was 166 today. I went to the store and got some plain organic oatmeal that only has 1 gram of sugar. I also got 3 plain Fage greek yogurts and some bananas. I picked up 4 of these packages of organic rice ramen I like. I just eat the noodles plain I don't use the flavoring packet since I try to watch my sodium.

Today wasn't the best, I was only at 1,280 calories. I don't know if covid can mess with your appetite or what. Ever since I got it there hasn't been much of a desire to eat and theres other stuff going on too.

I didn't work out today and probably won't for the next week. I was kinda instructed by a doctor not to.

Can you boil or steam some mixed veggies to add to your noodles?
Not only does it give you good nutrition aiding a good immune system....it looks great on a plate

You might be able to buy a mixed bag of veggies in the frozen section that is already cut into pieces that just requires to be either steamed, stir-fried or boiled.
(Which is easy to do and again you get better/clever in the kitchen.
Noodles on their own won't give you the nutrients needed for an increase immune system and energy.

....make sure you add 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to your 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt, if not, you have been warned lol.

snap66. Someimes i add a big handful of salad-type greens to my soup, like baby kale or spinach or turnip. A can of mushrooms is also good to add to stuff.
Thanks for this!

I eat 5% Fage Greek yogurt which isn't too bad by itself. I put a tablespoon of cinnamon of in it today and I had to stir it so much since it was not my intention to do the cinnamon challenge. I ate a Lunchable around 1AM since I was hungry from yesterday. Also this morning at 6:30 with the yogurt I had a couple bananas. I had a mini bag of white cheddar Skinny Pop popcorn and this little container of panda cookies at 10. I had a late lunch early dinner of 2 cups of Annies sweet potato pumpkin mac and cheese. I'm at about 1540 calories today and still at 166 pounds. I may have some Starkist tuna later.

Well I just got back from my run so I’m getting that bit right. I’m not always getting my intake right though, I’m eating good home cooked food but there’s been too much added junk for my own good really.

Still 166. I didn't eat very well today. I had a couple full calorie sodas and a couple pieces of chocolate. Then I had a decaf iced latte and a couple bagel bites all before 9AM. I did eat a couple bananas. I've had 1,458 calories and I need to eat more especially since I ate everything so early. I just have to get my stomach under control. I have another yogurt and crackers and stuff.

So I noticed I’m in danger of eating bad choices when I’ve been active (or stressed and active like I have been at work recently), and today I ran and swam and then popped into the store, I got some Nakd Bars which are pressed dried fruit, nuts and cocoa powder and orange oil, no added sugar but of course lots of natural sugars in the dried fruit. Omg it tasted so good, and I felt sated after one, although I’d had a post swim banana too. It’s probably not a good idea to eat too many (still got high natural sugars I think) but surely healthier than snarfing down chocolate like I have been.
